About this listen
Bridget Jones is back and her life is as chaotic as ever in The Edge of Reason, the number one bestseller from Helen Fielding and the major motion picture starring Renée Zellweger.
'Could The Edge of Reason really be as funny as its predecessor? The answer is yes . . . Bridget, the original Singleton, is on ripping form' - Daily Express
Bridget Jones has finally found love with man-of-her-dreams Mark Darcy. The Wilderness Years are over! But for how long... and is the relationship really all she dreamed it would be?
Struggling with the challenges of a boyfriend-stealing beauty, an eight-foot hole in the wall and lunatic advice from her best friends, Bridget decides it's time for a spiritual epiphany. And so she departs Notting Hill for the sparkling shores of Thailand . . .

Story
Sasha has had it. She cannot bring herself to respond to another inane, “urgent” email or participate in the corporate employee joyfulness program. She hasn’t seen her friends in months. Sex? Seems like a lot of effort. Even cooking dinner takes far too much planning. Sasha has hit a wall. Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga, and find peace, she heads to the seaside resort she loved as a child. But it’s the off season, the hotel is in a dilapidated shambles, and she has to share the beach with the only other occupant: a grumpy guy named Finn.

SEX AND THE CITY offers a tantalizing glimpse of the openings, launch parties, and celebrity affairs that keep society amused. Throughout, a cast of characters - the troubled writer, the successful businessman, the famous underwear model, and others - searches for true love...or at least someone to go home with at the end of the night. It's a chronicle of the true-life adventures of the "in" crowd that is often hilarious and sometimes terrifying, but always mesmerizing.

The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Way better than the film version
What did you love best about Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason?
I was hesitant to read it since I had watched the movie first and it was a total flop, but I am so glad I did. I feel as though some of the events merged with events that were included in the first film, which may be why the film deviates so much from the book. Still, there were more suspenseful parts of the book which were sadly left out of the film. It goes without saying, the book was better than the movie.
What other book might you compare Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason to and why?
Other than its predecessor, I'd have to compare the series to an adult version of Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries. Light-hearted, humorous romps.
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed the meat purse fiasco.
If you could take any character from Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Mark Darcy...because I'd have to steal him away from Bridget, of course!
Any additional comments?
If you were a fan of the first book/movies, you'll enjoy it!

I loved the story but the narration made it really come to life. I adore Bridget jones and this book held up just as well with the first one. Helen fielding makes me laugh and cheer but above all, makes me realise I am not alone. Thanks Bridget.

Bridget Jones is my best audiobook friend, thanks to the narration by Imogen Church and the charisma of Helen Fielding. I love listening when I am feeling a bit down and need some cheering up. Bridget being Bridget...
What made the experience of listening to Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason the most enjoyable?
I loved this book! It was an excellent follow-up. Great continuing storyline. Additionally, Imogen Church's voice truly captures the essence of Bridget.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Bridget, of course. She is a total mess, but that's what I love about her. She is totally relatable.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Nothing, Imogen Church was fabulous!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Both. There were parts that made me laugh (Bridget being Bridget in typical Bridget fashion) and others that made me cry (every tender moment Bridget shared with Mark).

I don't feel the desire to re-listen to a book very often, but I did with this one. I enjoyed Imogen's version of Helen. Delicious! I caught myself from time to time repeating out loud phrases. This audio book is like a quirky best friend! Enjoy!
