Fantastic first book to a new urban fantasy series

Fantastic first book to a new magical series. I loved the MC and I LOVED the 4 male characters. Each has his own story and I am looking forward to seeing their relationships grow. We don't get a whole lot of steam in this book but it's a slow burn so that's to be expected. I still think there was enough flirting and enough tension to make the romances super interesting.

Lana has some grit to her and I like that. She knows how to stand up for herself but she also knows how to be vulnerable and I think that's a hard thing to find in a female MC.. at least one that I actually like. Usually they go too far in one direction but Lana was awesome. I can't wait to learn more about her past in the next book.

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Exciting & Magical!

I am loving this audiobook it is exciting and thrilling, with interesting storylines and characters. Sadie Moss has a great writing style she knows how to draw her readers and/or listeners right in and have them wanting to know more and what is coming next. I love the imaginative world and characters she created as well as the dynamics of the world and its people. The lead female, Lana, is definitely one badass, I love her strength and tenacity. Also love how she winds up meeting her harem of men, with each one bringing a different power or gift to the table. Akio the incubus, Fenris the shifter, and Jae the Mage. Corin is blighted just like Lana and they share a past. This is one action packed story, there is plenty of drama, angst, twists and a slow burn to romance. Sadie Moss thank you for the fantastic story, I will be binge listening to the rest of this awesome series.

The narration is superbly done. Heather Firth is a talented narrator and versatile voice performer. She brings the characters and their story to life. She does an amazing job covering the voices of all the characters, both male and female. She give each their own distinct voice, as well as personality and attitude. She sets a great tone for the story and adds a touch of dramatic flair which enhances an already great story to another level of greatness. Heather Firth, thank you for this amazing listen🎧

Hard to put down

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. This is me leaving an honest and volontarily review.

This is another series from Sadie Moss that've read awhile ago and that i'm glad to finally be adding to my audiobooks collection.

I love this series. The world building, the storyline, the characters, they all make this read a pretty fantastic one. I was totally engrossed in the story and couldn't put it down.

Sadie Moss has find amazing narrators for her books and Heather Firth did an excellent job narrating this one.

Great Beginning

This was a story of a heroine who is learning to deal with magic she didn't know she had while having a bond with four different types of men. Its a great start to a series but would have loved a bit more romance. The narrator was amazing had to listen to the story all the way through without pause. Can't wait for the next book.

First book of Sadie's I've listened to...loved it!

I have never read or listened to any book of Sadie Moss's and after listening to the 1st 2 book in her Magic Awakened series I know if wont be the last ones I listen too! I really enjoyed the story and pace of the books and thought the narrator did a good job.

First to the narrator. I thought Heather did a good job with the female MC and brought her and the story to life with her well timed inflections and everything. I think she did a good job with the various male characters, though some of them seemed a little off compared to the description of the character. I did really appreciate how she made Akio's voice lower, even if it was straining her voice. I loved Fen's growly and flirty demeanor she nailed perfectly. Will definitely listen to Heather again!

As for the story, I reaaaaaally liked this book and jumped right into book 2 because I needed more. I thought the characters were awesome and the relationships that will be growing stronger. I enjoyed Lana's internal monologues, the quirky ghost, the development with her various powers (I cant wait to see more of Akio's and her training with Jay!). The baddies in this book are starting to develop and it will be intriguing to see who ends up making Lana's her guys lives more difficult. I am interested to see where the plot goes. I couldn't believe the treatment of the blighted and could imagine this dynamic in real life and it hit me right in the feels. Amazing job Sadie, I am already done book 2 and going to move on to book 3 and CANNOT wait to see what happens.

Definitely recommend this book and series. Get lost in the world of magic and BA-ery hahaha. Because Lana is definitely a BA main character that I want to befriend haha.

Loved this start to the series

I’m a huge fan of Heather Firth, she does an excellent job of distinguishing between all the characters.

The story is exciting. Lana learns she isn’t blighted(non magical) and becomes bound to 4 men when she releases her own magic and ends up somehow bound to a Mage, a wolf shifter, an Incubus and an old boyfriend from her past. The story is well developed and I can’t wait to hear more about all of these characters in the series. Will they be successful in the resistance fight? I hope so. Also hoping that there’s more romance in the next books.

Excellent start to the series and I’m hooked on hearing more.

Draws you in

So many unanswered questions! 😩
This story draws you in in the first few pages. I couldn’t stop listening.
Narration is good. And now I’m off to the next book in the series!

Wow! Hit on all levels

Great narration-actually maybe my fave narrator yet.
Story is engaging and so very full of potential as the series progresses.
Characters are diverse and hot!
I really look forward to the next in the series. Well done!!
FYI...I rarely ever leave a review and this might be the first time I ever search for more books using a particular narrator.
