Temperance Brennan lives up to my expectations
Where does Bones Are Forever rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love Kathy Reichs so this book is right up there among my favorites. It is my first audiobook of her stories and I will be back for more.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Her plots are always intriguing and exciting. This one didn't grab me like some have but it was very good.
What about Linda Emond’s performance did you like?
Yes I liked her performance. This was my first book read by her. So far my favorite is Davina Porter but not everyone must be a master or mistress of complex dialogs. Ms. Emond was very good.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No. It held my interest and I will be listening to it again.

Intriguing story which holds interest to very end.

There were too many to pick out just one..

Temperance was only one I recognized---speech was clear and imparted emotions that one would expect in specific circumstances.

WOW-one of the best in a while
There isn't a Tempe book I don't like, but some are better than others. This is one of them. Went by way too fast. I especially like the stories that stay in Quebec but this one venturing out to Western Canada was great. Bringing in the little mentioned First Nation's People and the rape of the world by billion dollar companies.

Grabbed me by the throat!
What did you love best about Bones Are Forever?
Reich's Dr. Brennan is evolving into a more balanced character, with a stable, realistic personal life as well as an exceptional professional life. Over the years, Brennan has sacrificed a lot, and its nice that Reichs doesn't sully the grittiness of her character by giving her a fantasy-quality personal life. Emond does an excellent job, bringing shape to Brennan's colleagues without overshadowing the story. The forensic details bring the tragic aspects of this story to life, although I found it difficult to like any of the characters. Until the story expands to include other dimensions, it was difficult to listen to, yet I had to know what happened......
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The story opens with dead babies - its a visceral blow that had me almost holding my breath as they hunt for the woman they believe is responsible. Horrible as that is, its just the tip of the iceberg

I could have done without all of the details of diamond mining. Way too much information, and it didn't add to the story.

Great Book
If you could sum up Bones Are Forever in three words, what would they be?
Love Kathy Reichs, and this book doesn't disaapoint. Wish she should write falster!

One of my favorite series
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I love everything about the Temperance Brennan series - each story reveals a little more about Tempe's back story. And I love learning about different locales and cultures. Reich's gives us a great dose of mystery, intrigue and sexual tensions. However this was not my favorite story-line - the relationships between the characters was a little confusing.
What did you like best about this story?
I really liked the respectful way the the Canadian natives were portrayed. The description of the various locations - I could clearly "see" the streets and homes.
Which scene was your favorite?
In the cottage kitchen when Tempe noticed the crystals in the fish bowl. I love her observation skills.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't cry but was very moved when it was discovered that the girl was mentally challenged and victimized by family members and others.

Reichs has done it again--terrific book
What did you love best about Bones Are Forever?
It was another great Temperance Brennan book. I like that she is back in Montreal and Ryan is in the book.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
You never know where the story is going to go next. Reichs keeps you wondering until the end.

I wanted it to go faster but I didn't want it to end. I can't wait until the next one.
