To be fair, the percentage of people actually asking to be murdered is probably small enough to be safely ignored, but he felt it was worth stating regardless. His life might have been ordinary, but it was his life and he wasn't done with it yet. Quin didn't care. A 1,700-year-old Roman, Quintus Livius Saturnius had a different view of morality than most people. Killing Matheus and hijacking his undead existence seemed perfectly acceptable to him.

The Mystery of Charming Continues
Chia Petite is back. After Red Mountainbear has made an attempt to steal her town of Charming from her, she is out with Hung Durand for being addicted to the blood offering to her vampire roommate, D’Raynged. Thinking that her only problem is trying to repair her relationship with Hung, Red returned with a vengeance to discredit her leadership in Charming.
Being on a high from her blood offering, Chia missed the detail of approving a land sale to Red. Not only is she more dependent to her blood offering to D’Raynged, to see the magically world around her and to use it to defeat Red, Chia has never considered that she might have hidden power of her own.
Will Chia be able to defeat Red, fix her relationship with Hung, and lastly overcome her blood addiction to D’Raynged? So many questions of why Red wants her town, Charming.
The narrator, Rinelle Harkin did a good job. She is quite different from the last narrator for Power Shift. I do love her Southern accent for D'Raynged. Rinelle Harkin did capture Chia's personalities from Power Shift.
I can't wait to see what next and to see if Chia will ever find out how to awaken her power and if she will ever defeat Red with Hung and her trusty friends.
I really want to give this book a 4.5 star rating but alas only whole number exist.

The Charming Shifter Mysteries
I found this to be OK. The author had me hooked from the beginning and the story is fast paced. Things happen quite quickly. However, I prefer the authors historical romance more then I do her paranormal ones. That is not to say it is bad just that it is different. There is some profanity and it does have sexual content. Sex was on the brain for the character majority of the time, so if you don't like that sort of thing then this is not for you.

Wonderful Series
I read the first 2 books in this series so it was interesting to listen to the 3rd. I really enjoyed how the narrator brought the characters to life and it fell in synch with how I believed them to sound while reading the first two. I really felt for Chia in this book, it seems that she is fighting a losing battle but she doesn't give up. At its core this is a true good vs evil story that keeps your attention. I am invested in these characters and love the authors writing style. In my opinion there is a perfect romance/mystery/paranormal balance in this series. I look forward to more in the series and from this author

Adventure and mystery continues
Chia and Hung can’t win for losing. I swear these two have their hands full with Red. The mystery and darkness that covers their town when he’s around makes for a very bad time for sure. Can’t wait to see what’s next! The narrator really brings out the mystery and feelings in this story.

Really Great Book
another great book in this series! The suspense in this one really keeps you going. Chia and Hung still having love problems but when things go bad they still make things work. looking forward to listening to the next book by Calinda B in this

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I found the series to be entertaining and somewhat confusing. Chia is a town manager and crime fighter and in this book she discovers some of her hidden talents. Hung also reveals why he is angry with her and her blood sucking roommate. Overall this was a good story. Red is a well-written villain and I love the husky shifter. The narration was slow but I pushed it to 1.25 speed and that made the book better. The narrator was good though.

Great read in a great series
My third read from author Calinda B & the third book in The Charming Shifter Mysteries was well-written & enjoyable, each book has been better than its predecessor. I received a gifted copy of the audiobook and was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of the narrator. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Now this is how a audiobook is done:)
A great story with the very most fascinating fun and exciting characters
The characters have such funny and wonderful banter between them. They make you feel what they feel and want to just immerse yourself in the world inside of the book. I never felt like I could not continue listening because it kept me captivated from the very start. In addition the narrator was outstanding and the recording was perfect with none of the usual background noise or noises. A1 all the way!!
I only wish that there had been a book 2 recorded on audible but wow this was amazing. So please keep up the fantastic work Calinda!!!

over all ok
first I will state that this is the first one in this series I have listened to/and or read; so with saying that knowing this is the third book I know I'm missing a big piece of what has happened and is going on. As this book alone I just couldn't get into it maybe the narrators voice or the story itself I'm honestly not sure. So maybe going back and listening to the first two books I may rank this a little high but as is over all this book was alright.

still an entertaining series
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
So, I had previously listened to book 1, and was interested in continuing the series. For whatever reason, book 2 is not available on Audible. So, I figured I would go for this book (#3). Like in the book 1, there is plenty of paranormal action and not just a string of relationship stuff. As this is book 3, I didn't really understand, or know, what happened in book 2, but I wasn't completely lost and was still able to enjoy this book. I would definitely be open to continuing the series.
