From 1629 to 1715 on the Sampit River in the Carolina's where there was no North, or South Carolina a small isolated group of free slaves, Creek Indians, and white indentured servants landed, and built a new settlement, and a new way of life where they could be free, and live in peace. Generations later Robert Warden, his son, and their families made a living with trade, and having a naval store for the many merchant ships that were now bringing in new settlers, rich and poor to this new place called Charles Town. In the year 1715 the Yamasee War began, and the many Indian tribes of the lowlands united to push out these new settlers who were now pushing up the rivers to build their future rice plantations, and for the settlers who were hunting their deer for the valuable hides to export. How would Robert, and his small settlement confront this influx of settlers, and the new wave of exploration into their lives? How would this year of 1715 change their close knit isolated settlement, and their ideas of the future? War
