About this listen
A FLICKER IN THE DARK meets YOU in this chilling psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the final tick.
Florence Samuels was living the life shed always dreamed of: married to the love of her life and about to become a mother after years of trying. Everything was perfect.
She never imagined that the love of her life would also be the one to destroy them forever. On the anniversary of losing both her husband and her unborn child, Florence returns to her once favorite place to pick up the broken pieces of her life and find some closure. But, what she doesn't expect is to see the man who saved her life on that fateful day. Or for him to help her begin to navigate her grief, and her guilt.
Silas Hale.
Florence starts to believe that this chance encounter could lead to something more; to a second shot at happiness. At her dream life. When the monster from her past returns, Florence must decide if trying to hold onto that dream, to Silas, is worth the pain and torment thats threatening them. Can she finally stand up to the man who once consumed her mind, body, and soul, before he can destroy the life shes trying to rebuild?

twisty and shocking !
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Narrated by Amanda Dunlap
At first, I really hated a character and was happy with how everything was turning out for them, but the twist !!! I never would have thought things would turn out the way it turned. This is the first book I "read" from this author and while I don't care for spicy scenes, it didn't take away from the book. I loved it.
I enjoyed the narrator as well. She was easily understandable, even for a non English native (me).
