It is possible that this book may be the absolute truth - yet another product of the incredible powers of the holy men of the Himalayas, who are said to have projected their reincarnations into the hilly areas of America, to avoid the holocaust brought by the Chinese to Tibet? Could we, as a nation, be ignoring one of the greatest gifts we have ever received?

Story
High in the rarefied air of the Himalayas stands the great Lamasery of Potala. Here, as a young boy, T. Lobsang Rampa came to study the teachings of the Lord Buddha. Through the eyes of this young acolyte, we learn of the life of Prince Gautama and his discovery of the Middle Way, the Four Noble Truths, and the state of Nirvana. Those who have heard of Lobsang Rampa's experiences in the lamaseries of Tibet will be greatly moved by this personal story of the transition of a daring, sometimes disobedient, youth into a serious, deep-thinking young man possessing quite exceptional sensory abilities.

T. Lobsang Rampa was preordained to be a Tibetan priest, a sign from the stars that could not be ignored. When he left his wealthy home to enter the monastery, his heart was filled with trepidation, with only a slight knowledge of the rigorous spiritual training and physical ordeal that awaited him. According to Barker, who first published the book in the 1960s, Rampa's claim that his body had been taken over by a Tibetan Buddhist monk was in no way disproved. In fact, Barker provides a letter from a Tibetan Buddhist scholar stating that Rampa's writings about the inner workings of Tibetan Buddhism were quite accurate and actually revealed closely guarded secrets of the Himalayan monasteries.

New Saucerian is proud to offer the original version of Howard Menger's From Outer Space to You, which sent the UFO field into a tizzy after it was first published by Gray Barker in 1959. For years, Menger and his attractive wife, Connie, spread the word about their UFO contacts, and the alien abduction experiences of others, while the "scientific ufologists" scraped their nails on chalkboards in anguish.

Part foreign affairs discourse, part humor, and part twisted self-help guide, The Geography of Bliss takes the listener from America to Iceland to India in search of happiness, or, in the crabby author's case, moments of "un-unhappiness". This uses a beguiling mixture of travel, psychology, science and humor to investigate not what happiness is, but where it is.

Astral Travel or OBE tips, UFOs, dimensions . . .
. . . common sense health tips, just a man sharing stories and his thoughts in order to make life better for human beings and increase awareness and expand and raise consciousness.
While the topics may have been discussed in other books, these were different discussions, coming at a different angle. For people interested in OBE, the positive and cheerful tips given are helpful.
For people interested in UFOs, there is information in here that isn't easy to find these days, giving leads into new (old) places or events to research.
As usual, fascinating and expanding. A series of books for a certain type of people who some might call "seekers" . . . this book series seem to be a type of catalyst.

I've read and listened to five or six Rampa books and loved them all until I got to this one. I wish I wouldn't have listened to it frankly. Instead of a sounding like a saintly old buddhist, he instead just sounds like a crotchety old man. I'd skip this one if I were you.
