About this listen

When thirty-eight-year-old Nick Sullivan agrees to deliver hot chocolate to the new English professor at the local University, he has no way of knowing a simple good deed will forever change his life.

After losing his wife and daughter in an automobile accident, Nick believes his wounds are too deep to heal, so he withdraws to the safety of the East Tennessee mountains. There, he purchases a small farm where he spends his days riding horses and nights battling the ghosts of his past.

A thousand miles away, an ambitious, thirty-three-year-old English professor named Eve Gentry has just accepted a job that will take her to a small town in Tennessee. After a recent divorce, Eve is eager for a fresh start and the opportunity to prove that she can make it on her own.

Looking to put down roots, Eve searches for a place she can call home. One evening, she discovers a flyer for a property that appears too good to be true. When her realtor takes her to see it, she immediately purchases it. Little does she know her new neighbor is the same man who she hasn't been able to get out of her mind.

As time passes and they grow closer, Eve and Nick discover life and love are built on second chances.

Sweet Story

I stayed very interested as the story unfolded. It wasn’t overly dramatic. But remained poignant. No current day troupes or repeated narratives. No mention of political options, how refreshing. More wholesome than some of the avg books of today, but not cringy sweet. I read, The Keeper of the Stars, 1st. Loved it, and liked that this 1 didn’t have too many similarities. The conflicts were believable, even if a main undercurrent is different than what some would believe. No spoiler. Great book!!

A great and beautiful storyline

I’ve listened to all of this author’s other books, and have not been disappointed until now. Everything about this story, and its characters, is so unbelievable. I had to force myself to listen to the whole book without giving up, which was very hard to do. The reader was just horrible.

Too unbelievable.
