About this listen
Amelia Turner is tired of living her boring, pampered life. She craves adventure and a new life out West. Ben Thompson is still grieving the loss of his wife, but he knows their son needs a mother, so with reluctance, he places an advert for a Mail Order Bride. He is immediately matched with Amelia.
When Amelia arrives in Montana, their first meeting does not go well. Both fear they have made the wrong decision. This is not the adventure Amelia expected, nor is it the smooth transition Ben wanted. Not willing to give up hope, they stubbornly cling to the possibility of falling in love—praying no one will be disappointed.

Sweet Contemporary
I liked this sweet novella set in the old west. Mail Order bride story was easy to listen to the outcome. Dini Steyn did a great job with the narration.

4 STARS
A short historical western mail order bride story in Culver Creek, Montana. Ben is a widower with a young son. Amelia is bored with her life of privilege and having her sister trying to find her a husband. She is wanting an adventure.
When Ben places an ad for a bride and who should reply? She has no experience doing ranch or house work, but h
opes Ben’s mother will teach her. Will she be able to learn to be a ranch wife? Will Ben be able to learn to love again?
The narration was done by Dini Steyn. Her voice was fun to listen to narrate this story.

Great!
It is always a delight to see how things used to be for people back in the day. This was a fun story. Especially a lady from the city trying to cope with the country way of living.
The narrator did a good job. I liked her accent.

A good story
This is a good story and I believe it could be better with a different narrator.
