About this listen

An ideal starting point for those interested in Buddhism, Being Peace contains Thich Nhat Hanh's teachings on peace and meditation.

Using real examples from his own life as well as poems and fables, Nhat Hanh explains his key practices for living "right in the moment we are alive". These lessons are taught with fine writing and sparkling phrases that draw the listener in and make Being Peace an audiobook that encourages multiple listenings.

Still as timely as when it was first published over 25 years ago, Being Peace is a revelation for anyone concerned with the state of the world and the quality of life.

Beautiful being

Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings embody all that is in life. He doesn’t shy away from anything, but sees the way to peace through our pain and suffering. To embrace the pain, suffering, & anger along with the love, compassion, & peace is a foreign concept to me but trusting Thay’s teachings and experience I have begun to identify with and embrace all of me and in turn all of humanity.
I have touched peace for the first time in my life.

This is what buddhism is about

A great introduction to Buddhism. I especially enjoyed the emphasis on collective responsibility to be the Buddha & not killing. I hope I can help put an end to suffering.
