The ability to march 30 miles across Dartmoor. The ability to control and maneuver your own body weight up ropes, over walls, through tunnels. It sounds hideous; however, for me, this should be standard across the entire population.
Granted, not everyone has access to the equipment that the military have in their armory, but it isn’t needed. The worst thrashings of my life have all been on exercise with a just a hill to play with.
Today, I can reflect on my experiences in university and couple it together with my time in the military to form a bulletproof, foolproof method to stay fit, healthy, and robust, physically and mentally.
