About this listen
The reissue of number-one New York Times best-selling author Linda Lael Miller's Banner O'Brien, the first installment in the Corbins series!
In 1886, lovely Banner O'Brien overcame every obstacle and won her coveted medical diploma. Still, she longed to escape from Oregon...and the nightmares that left her shaking, screaming one man's name. Banner fled to the Washington Territory to accept a position with Dr. Adam Corbin...arrogant, handsome, and, rumor said, violent. Although Banner respected his skills, she was unnerved by the very nearness of this moody, powerful man. His past was a mystery that would challenge her to the utmost...for Banner was determined to win Adam Corbin's heart!

Only after Lydia had arrived in Washington territory did she learn that her bridegroom wasn't to be sweet Devon Quade, but his older brother Brigham. Lydia's dislike of him was instantaneous...yet Brigham was awakening in her a white-hot passion.

There was trouble in Haven, Arizona, and Ranger Sam O'Ballivan was determined to sort it all out. He arrived posing as the new schoolteacher, and his first order of business was to bring the rough ranchers' children under control. To that end, he called on Maddie Chancelor, the local postmistress, whose younger brother was in firm need of discipline. Sam wasn't sure what to expect - but it was definitely not this graceful woman whose prim, proper stance was so at odds with the fire in her eyes.

Banner and Adam
I nearly listened all night-loved the romance and mystery of the hero
And heroine. Was impressed with their dictation and knowledge of
Medicine at this time in. history. Can't wait to hear Jeff's. story.

Interesting and entertaining story BUT…
This author as usual begins with a unique perspective on life and love in a different time period AND then portrays the woman as a mindless sex slave to a domineering demanding superior man. They say sex sells but there was such a continual description of sex that it became monotonous to the extent it spoiled what could have been a very interesting story.

A Journey of Healing
I am always excited to start a new series and I did enjoy this one.. I did think the attraction went a little fast but I enjoyed the characters. I wanted to shake Adam several times with his secrets but the narrator did an excellent job with the voices and emotion. She has such a soothing voice.. A little suspense, mystery and a sizzling attraction all pull together to make another excellent audible by this amazing author!

She loved the Doctor
Great book. The difference for a women Doctor was know one wanted to be treated by them. Running from a mean ex husband was also in the mix. Many secrets were to be found .

Such a trash
Trashy, primitive, poorly written, unimaginative. Trash. Trash. Trash. Trash. Trash. Not worse time spent on it.

Banner O’Brian Immature
Banner was immature and petulant. Between Banner and the too frequent and too long love scenes, I almost had to stop reading halfway through the book. I wanted to see if my guess about the mountain was correct so I slogged on

Couldn’t finish it
The storyline didn’t really flow. Strange romance. With an hour and a half to go, I was done. I don’t care about what ends up happening with Banner. Great narration though.
