In this fifth installment of the Bane County Series, we pick up where Book Four left off:
The citizens of Silver Canyon awake to find Bane County under CDC quarantine for fear of a viral outbreak. The National Guard has placed roadblocks at the Carantina River bridge, effectively sealing off the large river-island.
The beasts are growing more intelligent, threatening the small town in ways never seen before. Bryce and Jackson, along with Sheriff Culley, are struggling desperately to find new tools to combat the hideous creatures.
Farther west, along the coast of northern California, Travis and Luther have been relieved of duty after setting fire to the old Noone House. The beast that was Richard Cain escaped, and is still on the loose, as the two men use unconventional methods to continue the chase.
The eyes of the covert organization known as Failsafe remain on the people of Bane County. Fearing a viral threat to the nation, they weigh their options heavily.
With Bane County now effectively isolated from the rest of the world, and the CDC at a standstill, unable to make progress with the dangerous virus, a fuse has been lit to a powder keg… with nowhere left to run.

For werewolf story lovers!!
Ok, so lets get this out of the way first...AI narration, not a fan. It was good for a few laughs, but the pleasure of listening would definitely be enhanced with a human narrator(s). Overall, it didn't detract too much from the story.
As for the story, I loved it from the very beginning. It's not easy to get me interested and I hate having to endure several chapters of a book, just to have to give up because I can't get into it. This had me from the first 5 minutes of listening, despite the somewhat wooden AI narration. Great story, very engaging and suspenseful. Just enough shock and gore to appeal to horror fans, without over or under doing it. The writing had me able to create a Bane County pictorial in my mind. The characters came to life and became part of mine while I was listening. I also assigned the two main characters...Brice and Jackson, the physical look and voices of Matt Damon and Ben Afleck, lol! It just worked for me. Also, after book one, I didn't realize there were four more books, boy was I happy. The ending was not a disappointment and if the author decided to continue the story in the future, I'd be there in a heartbeat!! Very well written, I highly recommend.

Now this is a werewolf series!!!!!
I loved the characters in this series and the evolution of their storyline. I wanted to see how the individuals in the werewolf pack ended up but we can always revisit Bane County. I was so vested in the story that the AI narrative never bothered me. I look forward to continuing this saga in upcoming books.

Loved this book hands down the best horror book I've ever read. Also I love how it's not just strictly horror; it includes comedy and mystery. Absolutely loved the entire series. Author you did an excellent job with this series and I can't wait to start reading the new series "Dark Tinder".

Scary and fun

Gotta listen!
Although the AI was a bit robotic and it pronounced several words incorrectly, this was a great series, overall. All 5 books! Story and detail were amazing. A great listen!

Absolutely the best horror novel series i have listened to.
The novel gives me a completely new type of horror theme on werewolves. The series give background and married myths to science in completely new way. You have listen each novel gain the full appreciation of the series.

The series was clear and concise. I was absolutely obsessed with listening to each book.
The digital narrator did not do this book justice. I would like to hear it dramatized like the book Catchers. That would have made it feel like I was right there fighting along side of the caricatures.
