Not bad at all
This is about a singer, Blaire, who entered to a tv show singing competition. One of the judges is Dean which of course, he end up being her coach. Now, the thoughts of both parties has those “possibilities” or daydreaming of wanting to be together but likely could not happen due to their situation. The characters were quite likable but still didn’t capture me with that spark between them. It just need more depth on the characters, I think. I couldn’t see the love....It’s more of the development of infatuation, a fatal attraction but nothing more. There is a lot of potential, though, and quite enjoyable in this story. It was okay for me and might read the next book.

So Freaking Cute!!
This author is new to me and I gave this a shot due to the narrators and a recommendation from a friend.
I’m soooo glad I listened!! The story flowed really well!! I loved the nods to the show The Voice but the different twists on the show to give it a fresh feel.
The main characters were fun and believable also. Riley was sweet and down to earth and so freaking adorable in her naïveté yet she has just enough backbone to do what she needed also.
Dean is a rock god in this book but never once acts like it and that is a fun twist too! Down to earth rockstar for the win!! lol
Zachary Webber and Erin Mallon I will follow you two anywhere you lead me you are fantastic narrators

This was an awesome listen!!
Ryleigh Sloan wrote a story that was a fun, and easy to listen to. I’m a reality tv fan, so having this set in a reality show was fun for me.
I really liked both main characters from the very beginning. He was smitten and she was the good girl who’s view of her dream became a bit jaded because of someone else’s jealousy.
The storyline alone made this a good listen for me, but Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber as narrators made it great!!

So much fun!!
You will never convince me Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber aren't worth a credit. I absolutely love listening to them!! They truly put on an amazing performance every single time, and this was no exception. I love the emotion and personality they bring to these characters!
This is only my second book by Ryleigh Sloan, but I am definitely a new fan. This was such a fun book. I'm not a big reality show watcher, but I have been known to be sucked in by The Voice a time or two, and this book had all the qualities I like in that show with a heavy dash of heart and heat. I loved watching these characters develop over the course of this story, and I loved seeing them both work so hard for what they want only to end up with what they really need.
Once I started listening to this book, I couldn't stop! I'm so excited to listen to the rest of this series and everything else Ryleigh Sloan has to offer. So glad I found her books through her amazing selection of narrators. You definitely need to listen to this one!

The Heartbeat Series
Back Beat (The Heartbeat Series, Book 1) is a entertaining listen that is surrounded around music and reality tv. I loved how its similar to the tv reality series The Voice I as I live that show. It was really cute. The characters were intriguing and the the story was stormy and ended sunny.
Erin Mallon, Zachary Webber did a sensational performance narrating this audio. I absolutely love Zachary Webber's intonation and he is always a deep pleasure to listen to. Erin Mallon is a talented narator and she portrayed Blair perfectly.

rockstar romance
Blair's voice is a natural, sure to win the talent contest on national tv. She's forbidden, Dean is her coach, mentor, while on the show. Their connection is electric, they both struggle against their attraction. to each other. He's done this before, but this time it causes a scandal.
I always know when Erin Mallon and Zachary Weber narrate a story, it will be a great listen. Both are excellent narrators and bring the story to life

Really like this story alot. I cant wait to listen to Maddies story! I had no idea I would love it as much as I did! This was my first book by this author and NOT my last!!!

Blair + Dean =Sweet Rockstar Romance
This book was every bit as sweet as book 2 was steamy and hot!
I loved this book and this storyline about Blair & Dean! Erin & Zach were great as the MCs and I can never get enough of their voices.
Blair has dream and a chance to hit it big in the music industry when she nails a spot in a singing competition. Dean saw her and knew she would be a star and becomes her mentor in the show. Sparks fly, they tumble into love and then reality hits them hard!
Will they get their HEA? oh yes, but it didn't come easy!
I loved this book and there was definitely enough heat to keep me interested and happy!
Bonus in the eplilogue you get a glimpse if Maddie, Blair's BFF (featured on book 2) and she is a HOOT!!

Great Story!
Back Beat is the first book in The Heartbeat Series, a Rockstar Romance. This is another great story written by Ryleigh Sloan. Blair and Dean's story is fun, and beautiful. The storyline is set in a reality TV singing show. I loved to follow Blair and Dean in their journey. Blair is strong, talented, and determined. Dean is handsome, caring and supportive. They share an undeniable and strong chemistry. The storyline is well written, sweet, and sexy. The supporting characters are great. Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber did a wonderful job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series. #AudiobookObsession
