About this listen
With little money, she purchases a repossessed run down villa in Spain. Quickly finding the building was haemorrhaging money, she runs out. Hitting on an idea to boost her funds, Karen idea of easy money does not come that easy, particularly when the benefactors turn out to be drug dealers as well as seeing Karen as something to sell.
Soon, Karen is fighting for her freedom and ultimately her life, as she attempts to escape from these people. A fast-paced story that will take you across the world in Karen’s efforts to save herself and ultimately her charity.
An Early Years Novel
Lost But Never Forgotten is one of the 'early years' novels. Each book will go to answer the many questions raised by readers about Karen’s state of mind on her return from the Lebanon, to the long road that would determine what made her who she became.
Problems in forming her charity LBNF came at a time in her life Karen preferred to forget, except it showed just how quickly she could change her personality, from a passive easy going girl - to an extremely violent person in a matter of seconds. Such swings of mood were put down by the doctors to be the result of trauma when Karen was first abducted, and would weaken over time. Even so, the criminal cartels Karen infiltrated, had the belief they were dealing with the usual passive and frightened girl caught up in human trafficking. This could not be further from the truth, when in actual fact a far better analogy in what they were attempting to contain was an extremely unstable individual, who, given a chance, would retaliate with little regard to the consequences of her actions. Only criminals, who had already faced Karen, knew exactly just how unpredictable and dangerous she really could be.
