About this listen

The Tribulation Force is gathering in Jerusalem, where thousands of the faithful are receiving crucial teachings from their leader. They must be prepared for the fourth Trumpet Judgement prophesied in Revelations. Soon, even the sun will be affected, and a plague of anguish will be released on earth.

As the Tribulation Force continues its dramatic struggle against evil, Apollyon offers stunning apocalyptic visions. Richard Ferrone's riveting narration captures the suspense of the physical conflicts and the drama of the spiritual challenges. When Left Behind, the first book in LaHaye and Jenkins' inspirational saga, was published, it attracted millions of fans worldwide. Since then, each succeeding book has joined it on best seller lists. Apollyon, the fifth volume, is a thrilling continuation of the battle between the followers of Christ and the forces of Nicolae, the Antichrist.

Narration is done well. Story is great and brings in Jesus, the Bible, God and so many things you need to learn about. So much easier to learn when some fiction is thrown in also. Leads one to research more several times.

Love all the Bible references!

As I’ve said in my review of the first four books, this series is an excellent biblical adaptation to help you get a better understanding of what the events of the end of time will look like.
And if you are not a Christian, then these books still stand by themselves as excellent thrillers. If you do find yourself asking old questions, then I would encourage you to seek answers as these characters have. Now on to the actual review.
Here we are, five books in and this series just keep getting better. Whether it’s the moral struggle presented in this book or just the exciting action scenes. The emotional, realistic writing of characters’ choices, or the fact that dialogue is written how people actually talk. Whatever example you might use, this book comes across as feeling very complete.
I cried at the sudden main death in the book (I won’t name it as to not spoil it). I felt joy at the main exoneration. I felt meaningful, compassionate sadness two of the main characters' refusal of Christ. All the way around this story made me feel, which at the end of the day is the primary goal of any good story.
As for Ferrone’s narration, I feel like it improves with each book as well. His trademark dry descriptions only serve to play into the dark, gritty world these characters live in. His differentiation in accents, sexes, and just some voices being deeper than others really enriched the mental picture I hold as I listen. I couldn’t picture someone else narrating at this point.
I would recommend this book to anyone, and I am eager to listen to “Assassins”.

An Engaging, Beautiful Book.
