About this listen
A minister's daughter full of the Yankee virtues of prudence, thrift, hard work, and sobriety, Abigail Adams was wife to the second U.S. president, John Adams. Along with Martha Washington, she helped create the pattern that American first ladies have followed throughout much of the last 200 years.

Charming lecture about a fascinating founder
Prof. Allitt always delivers with a fun and charming lecture about historical figures - this one is no exception. This would be a great way to see if you enjoy his style of lecture - though it is hard to imagine that anyone who loves history wouldn't love this professor.
Despite being short, this was also a wonderful introduction to one of our founding mothers, a brilliant woman to admire.

Great listen
A very good story. Fascinating insights. Interesting that she and her son watched the Battle of Bunker Hill live, from a nearby hill. This book went by very fast.
