Schwere Zeiten für KHK Marie Geisler: Eine Einbruchserie in leer stehende Villen am Ufer der Kieler Förde hält sie und ihr Team auf Trab. Die Einbrecher sind unkenntlich als Wikinger kostümiert und kommen per Boot übers Wasser. Marie kommt mit den Ermittlungen nicht voran, zumal sie noch an einem alten Fall knabbert. Doch dann wird bei einem weiteren Einbruch ein Wachmann getötet, und ein Amulett in Form von Thors Hammer liefert Marie endlich eine heiße Spur.
