About this listen
Ever seen a real lost city? Explore the forgotten city of Airdrie, Kentucky, through Bobby Anderson's compilation of personal stories, historical accounts, haunting photographs, and newspaper articles. Uncover its rise and fall, the hopes and lives of its residents, all brought to life by the late Bobby Anderson’s meticulous work. Immerse yourself in the "ghost town" on the banks of the Green River, and discover the unforgettable lessons whispered by its ruins.
The late Bobby Neil Anderson (1926-2019) introduced Airdrie to readers in 2001. A talented creator, he excelled as a newspaper publisher, editor, songwriter, and author. After nine years of sharing his work with the public, he decided not to reprint the book. Motivated by the fervor of a fellow writer, he generously gifted the manuscript to her, with the condition that its core content remain unchanged while allowing for modifications to the front matter and a fresh cover design to complement the novel "A Mile Below Paradise."
PH Publishing is delighted to fulfill Mr. Anderson's vision with a revamped edition of his cherished compilation, Airdrie.
