About this listen
This volume will acquaint the readers with the history of Norwegian missions, and it will provide a model of cross-cultural mission that involves Norwegian and North American Pentecostals in church planting in the different countries of Central and South America. Hopefully, this work will inspire others to conduct further research on the historical background of Pentecostal churches in Latin America, preferably with a historical and sociological approach at the same time.
This work is of interest not only to Norwegians but also to Latin American Pentecostals. Geir Lie has provided a significant contribution to the documentation of the history of Pentecostalism in the region. Emerging Pentecostal generations need to know their story.
Born in Norway, Geir Lie is an independent researcher and holds a master's degree in Theology. He trained as a professor with a specialization in Christianity at the MF Faculty of Theology in Oslo. He is the author of several books, most of which deal with Pentecostalism from theological and historical perspectives. He is also co-founder of the Spanish-language journal: Hechos–una perspectiva pneumatológica.
