About this listen

As darkness descends, two destinies will merge. But as embers fly, one may rise from the ashes.

A Kingdom . . .

Far from the land she knows, Faythe is beckoned toward the secrets of her heritage. Through trials of her name and a challenge to her claim, does she have what it takes to rule? Faythe bears a future that haunts; Reylan harbors a past that lingers. At his side, what ignited in her heart is kindling, but letting her guard fall could break them . . . or make them stronger.

A Quest . . .

Now faced with a far deadlier evil than the king, a higher calling seems determined to turn the hourglass on Faythe's quest to save Ungardia. But she soon learns time isn't the only thing working against her. Darkness is rising, history is stirring, and the hunters are about to become the hunted.

A Destiny . . .

For fate cannot be outrun. Faythe's powers are manifesting beyond her control, and if she can't save herself, no one can. Defying destiny is not without consequence, yet Faythe may be willing to pay the highest price of all to forge a path to true freedom—for her kingdom, and for the ones she loves.

The books are wonderful, but the grammar is poor & words frequently misused. It's a shame; since these flaws constantly distract the reader from the story as the. discerning one takes time to unravel the intended meaning when words that. mean the opposite are used. The confusion between nouns and adverbs is so constant that it almost becomes as charming as a secret
language being shared by the author, almost but not quite. In the final analysis we are left with great stories, great characters, and miserable editorial skill. I will continue to enjoy the books and hope for more intelligent editing in the future. The author and readers deserve it.

Interesting new characters along with an engaging story about the original characters. Can’t wait for the next book

it's not bad just the characters are so much like the TOG characters. It's a little slow paced and all the times that Faythe almost died got a little ridiculous.

SO similar to TOG

This seems like the author took all three series by Sarah J Mass and redid them in a different way combining all of the story lines 🙃🙃🙃 is it just me that feels this way? Am I the only one?

Sarah J Mass?

Honestly, I love the story but if Faith doesn't find her fight I going to end up hating it!!!!

I have really enjoyed this series. The character development is amazing and the story is intriguing. Do I see some TOG similarities? Yes. Did it ruin the story for me? No. But I did cringe when the phrases “to whatever end” and “Rattle the Stars” were used. I also think she could have left the iron nails off the character that had them. She’s no Manon. However there were so many interesting facets to this story that were very different and I am honestly hooked. Can’t wait to see what happens next. Really enjoyed all of the multiple POVs in the story and I adore all of the characters. I just hope the author stops with the TOG references.

Best book in the series so far

I love the storyline and characters created by thr author. I have to agree with others note of the narrator. there are times when I zoned her out as her phone doesn't always keep your attention. I struggled at first to keep interest but eventually I was able to push past the monontay
