About this listen
Do you know how most nonfiction books are written? Most of the writers like a topic, they do research about it, and then write the book about that topic. My book does not fall into that order of process. This book contains 27 years of teaching experiences gathered in seven chapters. This book is a collection of thoughts, strategies, tips, concepts, and beliefs. My teaching career didn’t start the way it finished! I always say: “It doesn’t matter how much money you have; you cannot buy experience. Experience can only be gained.” But yet you can buy this book that will help you have a more enjoyable teaching experience.
In this book, you will discover:
- Real classroom teacher’s language that you will identify with.
- Solutions that will help you improve your classroom management strategies.
- Tips that will ease your days as a teacher.
- Inspirational real stories from my teaching career that I know you will also identify with.
- The perfect order of steps that will help you turn your teaching path 180 degrees.
- Simple and little secrets that will make a huge impact inside your classroom.
- Some factors that might be stopping you from being a successful and happy teacher.
This book is inspired by a request I received from my colleagues most of the time: “I would like to know how you do it, Mrs. Samiento.” That request came from new and from experienced teachers. You are about to listen to real stories, not gathered from Google but lived by a teacher that always had a heart for educating as many students as possible. This is a nonfiction book but with a wide variety of entertainment based on real-life stories.

Now Jane Nelsen, distinguished psychologist, educator, and mother of seven, has written a revised and expanded edition. The key to positive discipline is not punishment, she tells us, but mutual respect. Nelsen coaches parents and teachers to be both firm and kind, so that any child - from a three-year-old toddler to a rebellious teenager - can learn creative cooperation and self-discipline with no loss of dignity.

Story
Teachers show up in different forms and in many chapters of a child’s life. Teaching is literacy and numeracy, but most importantly, it’s showing up with your whole heart. It’s walking kids - and yourself - through the hardest conversations about trauma, loss, grief, racism, or violence. As we work to piece together our education system in the fallout from the global pandemic, the focus must be on the teachers. If the people in charge - those teachers - aren’t OK, the students don’t stand a chance.

If you are a teacher or looking to become a teacher, this book is just the thing you need. An excellent resource for any teacher
If you have a friend or loved one that is just beginning their career as a teacher, do them a big favor and encourage them to listen to this audiobook or better yet, send them a copy of the paperback. The valuable information in this book from a seasoned teacher with 27 years of experience will help them immensely. This book is filled with useful information on all the important things a teacher faces, such as dealing with: disruptive students, lack of funding, pressure from school administrators, bullies in the classroom, losing motivation when facing challenges, balancing work/life balance with all the endless paperwork, and the feelings of burnout that many teachers struggle with. An excellent resource for any teacher.

Wonderful Book!!
I really enjoyed this book of well detailed and thought out information!! As a homeschool mom I can 100 percent agree with many of the strategies here in this book, I have a sister that teaches at a public school and I know she can use this book for her classroom. There are so many classrooms full of energetic students across, with experience teaching teens, before I crossed over into homeschooling, I know how difficult it be to maintain a steady flow of management when having a lot of children with different personalities, learning styles, and interpersonal skills. I highly recommend this book for all the real super heroes out there. Our educators.
