The gender gap reaches beyond the workplace: it also impacts medical diagnoses! While 13% of boys are diagnosed with ADHD, only 4.2% of girls are, and it’s not because girls don’t have it: it’s because we are misdiagnosed! To make matters worse, the older we get, the harder it is for medical professionals to diagnose and treat us properly. Often the only time a medical professional will notice it is if we have children who are diagnosed. By then, you’re used to living in the chaos of your home and brain!

Most fungi live out of sight, yet make up a massively diverse kingdom of organisms that supports and sustains nearly all living systems. Fungi provide a key to understanding the planet on which we live, and the ways we think, feel, and behave.

So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.

Story
In lyric, accessible prose, Carlo Rovelli invites us to consider questions about the nature of time that continue to puzzle physicists and philosophers alike. For most listeners, this is unfamiliar terrain. We all experience time, but the more scientists learn about it, the more mysterious it appears. We think of it as uniform and universal, moving steadily from past to future, measured by clocks. Rovelli tears down these assumptions one by one, revealing a strange universe where, at the most fundamental level, time disappears.

These are just a few of the many interesting facts that you will discover about space in this audiobook. If you’re like me, anything space related will fascinate you; there is just something exciting about the big wide world out there beyond Earth, the many unknowns, and the interesting facts that are being discovered on a daily basis.

great science book for middle high school students
It is a great science book and eye-opening experience for middle and high school students. There are so many mysteries/fact/unknowns in the Universe and this book presents in a humorous way so students are easy to understand. This book also teaches a lot of physics and will inspire young science lovers to explore more about universe. The time travel and black hole sections are interesting, it is hard to image how time can complete stop in the proximity of blackhole due to intense gravity. Great read for young universe lovers.

Loved this listen!
First I will say, though I am intrigued by science and all things about Space, I have never been very "sciency-brained". I'm just not built for excelling at it. But I LOVED this book! I don't know if it was the humor that just kept my mind more interested that it usually is in technical subjects, but this was just wonderful. I learned so much, and I'm in my 40s! The book simplify complex topics, and the narrator was also great. Highly recommend!

What the Quark?
Thank s is an immensely entertaining audiobook. It is jam packed with quantum physics and facts about the vast universe we live in.
This author does a super fantastical job of turning science and complicated theories into magically fun learning.
If you love science, space, and quantum physics like I do, then grab this up. This audiobook is also a great way to get your kids interested in science. There are no boring flat lectures here. The narration is lively and engaging. The most complex scientific understandings are put in a way that allows just about anyone to wrap their heads around what is going on -- well, as much as possible anyway, because as the book mentions, even the most highly respected of quantum physicists don't fully understand everything involved.
Oscar Joe Washington is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I highly recommend this audiobook to any science or space buff.

Comprehensive Guide
This was the ideal audiobook for our vacation in the car with the family. As was the case with us, the author does an excellent job of taking what may be a difficult subject matter and breaking it down into manageable bits. This makes it possible for someone who does not have a formal background in physics or astronomy to grasp the material. The narrative's use of comedy, which helped provide a feeling of lightheartedness to what could be seen as a weightier subject matter due to its focus on our physical existence, was unquestionably enjoyed and appreciated. Highly recommend it.

It said quarks...
Great book but it says that it talks about quarks and it barely said two sentences LOL. I was really trying to learn a little bit more than just acknowledging it.. overall it was great but it was stuff I already knew I was here for the quarks and did not get them. I also did not find the humor funny but it was cute.
