About this listen
Aaron Okonkwo, a Nigerian scientist, travels with a crew in the 24th century to evaluate Viridis, which proves to be a beautiful and fabulous world. There, Aaron discovers a strange, alien species and amazing machines and technology left in a vast underground complex by a mysterious race called the Creators.
Aaron soon falls under the irresistible, seductive spell of Nightsong, a green alien female with ominous and bewitching powers. However, an even greater danger rises. He will be forced to fight for the planet's survival against a ruthless invasion by a fleet of ships seeking to conquer and enslave the planet just as Africa itself was once enslaved. Aaron knows it's a senseless act of beauty to try to reclaim his ancient warrior heritage and fight back against such overwhelming odds, but he also knows he must try.

Story
The story of how I, Julian Carter, and my precious two-year old son, Stephen, left Atlanta Georgia and found ourselves on a white sailboat, tossed about like a cork on a raging sea off of Australia's northern tip in 1963, is harrowing. But it pales in comparison to what happened deep in the jungle where I was taken as a slave by a savage tribe unknown to the world. Some places dwell in darkness so deep that even God seems to stay away.

Story
Since her father's sudden death, all Evie wants is comfort and security for her family, especially from dragon cagers. The two-tongued serpents are said to take the shape of a man, woo their ill-fated victims, and then devour them whole. But no one ever told Evie she could be kindred to the creatures. When Evie is framed and exiled, a cager called Lachlann discovers her roaming in the barren dragon country. Now, while being hunted by the same slayers seeking his magic-imbued heart, Evie must put her trust in Lachlann and seek out his clan for help.

Story
Before Lily and Amon met, before the cosmos was in chaos and needed three brave brothers to fight off evil, there were four siblings who helped rule the Earth. Each sibling had a special gift. Osiris, the god of agriculture, helped mortals to grow and thrive in their natural environment. Isis, the goddess of creation, fostered health and wellness. Nephthys, the seer, was able to keep the balance between all living beings and the universe. But Seth, the youngest sibling, was left without any special powers.

Wow this was crazy
This book was everything in one.
I started out hating the main characters for going back and forth about what was going on with him, but figuring out the big mystery was a definitely a pump the breaks moment, I Wish it was a series.

Good Sci-Fi, Great Ending, Excellent Narration
This was an Emotional Roller Coaster, going from Fear, Anger and Confusion to Love, Acceptance and Understanding. (and going back and forth)
In my opinion there was nothing Romantic about this book. This is not a good or a bad thing, I'ts just that I was expecting Romance and had to readjust my expectations/ view of the book once I realized this.
This is pure Sci-Fi with a lot of Mystery/ Questions.
I liked that in the beginning it all seemed very Strange, Alien and a bit Absurd, but in the end almost everything makes sense and falls into place.
It starts out really strong with a traumatic experience from Aaron's childhood.
This experience is part of the man he becomes and plays a role how things unfold/ how he looks at the Alien planet and it's inhabitants.
I also liked that the ancestry, history and stories of Aaron's people play's a big part.
The way the title of the book ties into the story is beautiful.
I really enjoyed listening to this Audio Book!
The narration is really excellent. Very professional and enjoyable.
