About this listen
Contains adult themes.
When a publisher was set the challenge of finding the identity of a person from a manuscript that he received, he was confused. Is the author a celebrity, businessman, politician or something else?
Whatever he was, he was evil.
Whoever had written them, the stories contained confessions, boasts and twisted vile truths hidden in the words.
The further he puzzled, then the mystery became darker and more horrific.

Story
Martin Eden, Jack London’s semiautobiographical novel, is about a struggling young writer. It is considered by many to be the author’s most mature work. Personifying London’s own dreams of education and literary fame as a young man in San Francisco, Martin Eden’s impassioned but ultimately ineffective battle to overcome his bleak circumstances makes him one of the most memorable and poignant characters Jack London ever created.

Great and shocking book
"A Liar's Riddle" is a complex and shocking audiobook that takes listeners on a twisted journey filled with confessions, dark truths, and unexpected revelations. John Smale, the author and narrator, immerses us in a world of criminal activities and deceit, leaving us questioning everything we thought we knew. While the narration could have benefited from a professional voice, Smale's storytelling skills are commendable. By the end, I was left both astonished and trying to process the intricate web of lies and betrayals.

Confounding!!!!
By the end of this I didn't know whether to laugh or applaud. I was gobsmacked , and I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it all and keep processing it. Double crosses and betrayals and complex multilayered lies and misleading information. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a good job.

Complicated
This audiobook was complicated and shocking. The criminal activities of four people Frank was familiar with were not what they seemed. He thought they were authors, but were far from it. As more information becomes clear to him things get messy and twisted. The ending is scary. The author narratedd his own book which I felt should gave been done by a professional.
