Y’all this book, it’s crazy y’all! I’m gonna say it’s way, way out of my typical reads.. BUT y’all this mess was wild! Mallory Fox does not disappoint! This chick knows how to write and will keep you on your toes! Talk about fast paced and NEVER a dull moment. Straight out the gate I was like, No way did that just happen!!

The twists and turns of this book will keep you guessing! You never know what’s going to happen next. Viola the FMC, that heifer is CRAZY, unhinged! You wouldn’t want to come up on her in a dark alley. There’s lots of trigger warnings in here, mainly because of Viola, lol. I cannot wait to see where this story goes with all her men, it ends on a bit of a hanger and makes you wonder what could possibly happen next!

The audiobook, Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley were fantastic! They deliver a spectacular performance with all kinds of emotion that will keep you gripped to the fast paced storyline. With he cliffhanger ending, you will be wanting to binge this series.

📖 This was a dark and twisted read that I absolutely devoured! Viola is my new girl crush — she’s an absolute bad ass! As a contract unaliver, she’s sent undercover into a prep school to take out a student that happens to be the son of one of the city’s criminal overlords. But she is immediately drawn to him… and two of his friends. As a girl with absolutely no feelings… in general or for anyone, this is odd for her. Before she can take care of the job she feels the need to investigate a bit further and uncovers much more than she bargained for. There are twists and turns and hanging threads that are yet to be pulled. This is quite dark, so please check the TW. And this is not a standalone — so be prepared for this to end on a cliffy! I can’t wait to dive into the next book when the audio comes out!

🎧 I REALLY enjoyed this audio! It was the last audio I listened to in 2023 and it made its way into my top 23 audiobooks of ‘23!
Lucas Webley is one of my favs and he crushed it as usual. He can do so many different accents perfectly, making him such a great narrator for why choose. In this book he voiced multiple MMCs with unique British accents — I won’t begin to try to describe where they each sounded like they’re from since that’s not my region of the world. But I will say I could tell that each character sounded different, some a little more posh sounding than others. And he does a fantastic job with pacing and emotion, really keeping me engaged throughout.
This was my first time listening to Hannah Hedley and I was impressed. She did have a different British accent than I’ve heard before but I enjoyed it! At first I thought her narration sounded a little emotionless, but then I thought more about the character she was portraying and it was absolute perfection. Viola doesn’t experience human emotion like others and often describes feeling nothing, so that vocal performance was spot on. But don’t worry, you absolutely won’t be listening to a monotone performance, she is fantastic!

Better in audio

You know what’s better the. Reading a five star book? Listening to amazing narrators read you a five star read phenomenally!

If you read this story in Violent Tendencies Antiology know that it’s not the same novella. This is an extended full length book with multiple POV. It’s soooo much more. We get to see some of the male characters views and there so much more to this story. Viola is a petite little thing who just happens to be a murder for hire. She’s given a job that takes her back to high school. She’s bot happy but do you blame her?!?! She ends up learning more then she expected and that things aren’t what they seem. This book is full of dark deliciousness, betrayal, mystery and some sexual tension that will burn the pages. The series will be an Rh but book one is a slowwww burn. It’s so good y’all and I can’t wait to see where this goes! I don’t think we are don’t uncovering the dark secrets of these characters and it’s only going to get better!

Great book but book was previously released

Great book but I bought this book thinking I hadn’t listened to it. It was previously released was a different cover. Google it and it will ring a bell if the story sounds familiar. Returned with no issues though.

Twisted and awesome

So I was kind of confused at first and wasn’t sure where this was going but man did it twist and turn and get wild at points! I loved the idea behind this story and how it was told. I was confused at points with the amount of characters introduced and who and what was happening to them, but to be fair I was also working at the same time so I don’t blame the book at all and it becomes evident of what is going on. The ending is a great cliffhanger of information that I can’t wait to be answered. The narration was phenomenal with Lucas, as always, and new to me Hannah. At first I thought Hannah’s narration dragged on and was cold but then I realized that she was truly embodying Violas characteristics. She was did such a great job switching between character personalities and depicting each one. Lucas is amazing and never ceases to amaze me with his talents of voice modulation and accents. All around phenomenal and I can’t wait for the next one!!!

Dark romance

A History of Violence is book 1 in the series A Violent Agenda. This is a reverse age gap, why choose romance. Viola is a tough heroine that can definitely hold her own. Lorcan, Dino and Jude were all interesting heroes that each had their own unique personalities and flaws. The chemistry between Viola and her men was intense. This story was on the darker side packed with drama, action and plenty of sexual tension. At times the storyline felt all over the place for me. I still have so many questions, so I’ll definitely be reading the next book to see what happens next.

Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley did a really good job narrating this story.

I love this series!!!

God I love this series but hearing it in audio just made it oh so much better!!!!

Lucas and Hannah are perfect like usual and I wish they could narrate every book! I love them so much!

A History of Violence is the first book is the 1st book in the A Violent Agenda series. It's a dark why choose. Make sure to check the trigger warning!!

Viola is a serial unaliver that takes out the bad guys and I wanna be her when I grow up. She is such a baddie!!! Going undercover at a prep school, she meets Lorcan, Jude and Dino and these men are HOT!!! Really every single character in this book with grab your attention and the story keeps you hooked.

This book is dark and full of twists, it's an absolute must read or listen!!!

Viola and her boys

This book took me a bit to get into. I wasnt sure what way the book was going to go and it had so many charectors was a bit hard to follow at first. This i one book that may have been easier to follow if I had read it instead of listened to it. Once I got into the rythm of things and got a handle on who was who and what was going on I really started to enjoy the book. I really liked that it came from the point of view of the (One of) the killers who are the MCs. It was a different take on a Dark romance and made things interesting. I cannot wait to read the next book in the seires...

A Dark Reverse Harem Serial Killer Bully Romance

A History of Violence by Mallory Fox is a dark reverse harem serial killer bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley. This is the first book in A Violent Agenda series.

This is the first book of Mallory's that I have read, and it definitely won't be my last. I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I love the chemistry between Viola, Lorcan, Dino, and Jude. I really enjoyed getting Viola, Dino, Lorcan, Jude, Arora, and Dante's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on a cliffhanger but that wasn't a surprise since it's the first book in the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series A Legacy of Sorrow to be released on audio so I can get more of Viola and her men.

I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio. Hannah and Lucas did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend the series if you like dark romances, reverse harem romances, serial killer romances, assassin romances, or bully romances.
