About this listen
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least.
Tough, hard, and overtly sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.
This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you don't know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can't love you back might be impossible.

Rule number one for having a one-night stand: Don’t fall for the girl. After a lengthy dating slump, I finally met someone who sparked my interest. Well, first the sparks flew when we argued. Later in the evening those sparks ignited into something more. I was drawn to Devyn, in a way I hadn’t felt in a really long time. Needless to say, I was disappointed when she abruptly left after our amazing night together. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. But she hadn’t even given me her number. In a city with eight-million people, I figured I’d never see Devyn again.

Story
The day my mother was killed, she told my father I wouldn’t speak again, and she told him if I died, he would die too. Then she predicted the king would sell his soul and lose his son to the sky. My father has a claim to the throne, and he is waiting in the shadows for all of my mother’s words to come to pass. He wants desperately to be king, and I just want to be free. But freedom will require escape, and I’m a prisoner of my mother’s curse and my father’s greed. I can’t speak or make a sound, and I can’t wield a sword or beguile a king.

Beautiful Blue.
Amy Harmon is a master at telling stories of people rising up out of hopelessness and finding courage to face the world around them. A beautiful story of identity and self worth, of the real kind of love and what happens when we open our hearts to grace.

She left the nest
This book catches you from the beginning. I felt I was Blue. This store felt so real, like I was living it with all in it. I felt every emotion from excited to devastation. I caught out loud with out resignation, my tears flowed like the rain. Hope when it felt lost exploded and came forward at all times of need. This book is beyond a five star book.

I fell in love! ♡
I love all of the different dynamics placed in this novel. You see how Blue overcame her struggles and confusion in the past. Then you basically hold hands with Blue while she deals with current struggles and confusion. My heart is filled with emotion right now. I have never had a book make me cry with sadness, cry with happiness, mourn or leap with joy. The author knows how to engage the reader to feel what Blue is feeling. I feel that authors skip writing about difficult things. The author of this book was not scared or lazy and I admire it. I know that I will be reading this again very soon. Thank you!

WONDERFUL!!
I loved this book. I can't help mourn those who didn't get the happy ending like blue's mom, and Jimmy with Stella but it's good so beautifully.

Lovely book
I really enjoyed this book. The plot and characters kept me engaged and the narrator was excellent. I was sad when it ended but the author wove a good tale and took us along to the conclusion. There were plenty of twists and turns that kept me listening and twisting my heart.
