About this listen
Frederick Douglass, born into slavery in 1818, escaped to freedom in 1838 and became a great leader in the abolitionist movement. In A Picture Book of Frederick Douglass his struggles and determination, as well as his accomplishments as a writer, orator, and important figure of the 19th century are clearly and expressively outlined.

Inspiring short biography
This is part of a series of short picture biographies that are delightful for young children. This is a nicely done audio that stands on its own or it could be listened to while looking at the book.
