About this listen
Millie Miller has always dreamed of living by the ocean. Now that her children have flown the coop, as an empty nester, she’s decided to sell her house to buy a condo only a mile from the beach in Oceanside, California.
While walking her two dogs, Rosie and Daisy, Millie stumbles into a mystery after her pups find a body in the bushes. Frightened by the possibility that one of her new neighbors might be a murderer, Millie ignores the handsome police detective’s advice to mind her own business and decides to do some well-needed snooping.

Mystery
A mystery writer solves a real life mystery when she moved to her new condo. It’s a cozy mystery with little angst. Enjoyable to listen to also

an ok story
The narration was ok. I am used to narrators who make each voice sound different from the others and this one reads them all pretty much the same. The story was very low key and predictable. Pleasant enough.

Cute, fun cozy mystery with pets!
Millie Miller has just moved into a new condo near the beach when she stumbles on a body in the bushes! Her background as a mystery writer makes her the curious (or maybe nosy?) sort, so she starts to investigate.
The discovery brings a handsome police detective into her life, which only complicate things. Add in the fact that her best friend, Jess, is going through a divorce and things really get crazy!
If you enjoy a well-written cozy mystery, full of great characters and cute pets, you will enjoy this book! The author has a great sense of humor in her writing and there were a few laugh out loud moments! The scene in the restaurant with the hot detective will live in my memory for a while and I'll never look at huge granny panties in the same way!
The narrator was perfect for this fun book and added a lot to my enjoyment. I only hope that the author continues to write for a long time because I can always count on her books to raise my spirits!

Delightful cozy mystery with lots of pets!
Millie Miller is an empty nester who sells her home for a condo near the beach. Just as she’s settling into her new life, she finds the dead body of a neighbor while walking her dogs. Being a mystery author and innately curious, Millie gets pulled into investigating the murder. I love this genre of mystery with cats, dogs and a smart amateur sleuth. The narration is outstanding and brings this first book in new series to life.

I love Millie.
Millie is an animal lover with a cat and two dogs. Just bought a condo near the ocean and is learning about her new neighbors. I hope the author makes more of this series. I would love to hear more about Millie and her friend Jess.

A Body
I totally enjoyed this one. A woman moves into a new apartment, only to find a body not 24 hours later. Narration by Cathy Crosman was well done.I was given this book free for an honest review.

Likable cozy mystery
I find Millie relatable and the narrator did a good job at creating characters.
Millie moved to the ocean to start over. She discovers a murder amongst the new neighbors and winds her way thru the clues and dogs to solve the mystery. I liked that the story moved along quickly, but thought there could be more story to the mystery, the focus seemed more on Millie and the dogs. But, overall it was a good story.
The characters are relatable and the narrator was a good fit for the story.

Not very realistic
The narrator does a great job delivering the suspense and with all the different character voices. But the storytelling has no faces, minimal physical dimension and not very realistic characters. Otherwise this is an easy, little soapy mystery.
