About this listen
This awesome bundle is both the first and second books of David combined. These books are about a man who lived Mormonism to the fullest for 50 years, having 14 children and being married six times.
His funny and outrageous stories will have you laughing out loud. He covers almost every topic in the church from an ex-Mormon's perspective in his writings, but most of the best stories are combined in these two audiobooks.

the stories in these 2 books are funny and interesting. I loved every minute. I could have bought them separately but
It was a great deal to get both books together.

The scandal!
Holy cow this was a great book! I was hooked from start to end. The voice is clear and easy to follow and has just enough edge in their voice to keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s a must listen to!

A fun behind-the-scenes look at Mormonism
The stories and discussions of this are fascinating! I’ve never known much about the Mormon faith, and this was a good perspective into the daily lives and emotions associated with that church. Mormons are often portrayed as very straight-laced, so this felt like an honest and refreshing look into things we normally wouldn’t hear about from mainstream media.
This was really interesting, but there are some things that could have been trimmed out. These are stories from transcripts of videos, and there are occasionally things that remain from that format, like mentioning things that could be happening in the background of the video.

An example of the importance of beta listeners
Apparently this is a transcript of "David the Bard"'s YouTube videos, read by somebody with a speech impediment who has no idea how to pronounce Mormon colloquialisms or proper nouns. "World of Wisdom?" "Spencer W Campbell?" "Thomas Munson/Manson?" "Strength in the loins and in the sinuses?"
What would otherwise have been interesting or amusing anecdotes are ruined by the inclusion of things that any competent narrator/producer would omit. Actual quote: "Now, let me take these off and come back so that I can see...God, am I still...Yeah...Am I? Yeah, okay, here...these d**n young kids know all about this s**t, I don't...okay, um, here it is...here it is...Sad..."
This could be listenable if it had a do-over. The content might be interesting, but the presentation is just too awful. Waste of a credit.

Be aware
If you are going to listen/read this book be sure to do so with a very open mind. The views in this book are very one sided perverse interpretation of the truth although there are bits of truth in this book you can tell the author has made it his point to give his interpretation of the information.
