２０１８年１０月、日本取引所グループの清田瞭ＣＥＯは、同グループが傘下に持つ東証の市場区分見直しに着手すると会見の場で表明した。１部上場は信用のブランドであり、取引先との関係構築でも有利だ。
その東証１部上場企業は１９年２月時点で２１２６社（外国会社除く）。そこに勤める社員はおよそ３７１万人に上る。「１部上場」の看板を失うとなれば、グループ企業の従業員を含め、この何倍もの人たちに関わる問題といえる。
この先、新１部の選定基準がガラリと変わり「天国と地獄」ほどの差を生み出しかねない新しい基準の中身を見ていこう。
