I love learning about my Christian faith. The more I learn about his word the more I have faith in him. I thought I knew a lot about Gods word but this book has opened up my eyes to the history of the Bible. I knew that these words were written long ago and translations have chaged it a bit. How ever I didnt realize there were missing verses! This was a educational and thought provoking read. I loved that it was a balanced approach and not wanting you to pick one belief or another. It is well researched and the writing fantastic. Great for anyone looking to dig deeper into their faith.

This book is meant to be a simple and eye-opening look at why some verses you’d expect to find in the Bible aren’t there. The author attempts to explain how translation decisions and changes in ancient manuscripts led to the removal of 16 specific verses. He walks readers through the possible history behind these but starts with a faulty foundation, including the ever-important protocol of the scribes rather than someone casually copying from another person. He also shares his opinion of why knowing about these missing verses matters for anyone who takes Scripture seriously; however, he overlooks other possible explanations, i.e., Satan's attempt to discredit the Bible, water down the Gospel, and remove the deity of Jesus.
