About this listen

With San Francisco under siege and everyone a suspect, the Women's Murder Club must risk their lives to save the city - and each other.

With a beautiful baby daughter and a devoted husband, Detective Lindsay Boxer can safely say that her life has never been better. In fact (for a change), things seem to be going well for all the members of the Women's Murder Club as they gather to celebrate San Francisco Medical Examiner Claire Washburn's birthday. But the party is cut short when Lindsay is called to a gruesome crime scene, where a woman has been murdered in broad daylight.

As Lindsay investigates, shocking video footage of another crime surfaces. A video so horrific it shakes the city to its core. Their faces obscured by masks, the cold blooded criminals on the tape could be anyone - and now all of Lindsay's coworkers are suspects. As a rash of violence sweeps through San Francisco, and public fear and anger grow, Lindsay and her friends must risk their lives in the name of justice - before it's too late.

With shocking twists and riveting suspense, 14th Deadly Sin proves yet again that when it comes to suspense fiction, in the words of Jeffrey Deaver: "Nobody does it better" than James Patterson.

Critic reviews

"Patterson and Paetro are at their best here, weaving a number of plots together to create a novel that dips and flows across genre lines.... A series that shows no signs of fatigue or flagging." (BookReporter.com)
"I can't believe how good Patterson is, whether he's doing a Washington police yarn or traveling a different road with a female narrator. He is always on the mark. I have never begun a Patterson book and been able to put it down." (Larry King, USA Today)

Excellent story- sometimes I get thrown off by the music and added interplay- as it is not always there....can't wait for the 15th! What will kingfisher do?

Love the women's murder club!!!!

Narration was a disappointment. She does not have a wide range of voices, especially in range of tone. Particularly disappointing was the rendition of Yuki. Carolyn McCormick is much better. Worth listening, though, but I hope there is a sequel since the book ended up very abruptly.

Good story, to-do narration

I have come to love the Womdn's Murder Club characters so I've heard every book Patterson has written about them.
Not a bad story, but that's no what's compelling for me.
Just love the relationships among these women and their families.
Light summer read for me.

Love these characters

Great series, always a different twist. I recommend starting from the first of the series if possible.

Girls do it again

Great book, very suspenseful. I have read all in the series and they usually wrap up the storyline in each book but this one ends in a cliff hanger. the bad part about that is the next book is not out yet, at least not on Audible.

Great as Always but leaves us hanging

Have we ever had a cliffhanger in the Women's Murder Club series before? Not that I can recall. And this one definitely ends, leaving you suspended in wonder at what the hell happened and desperately needing the next book. Can we wait until May??

The quality of this series has declined over the years. I used to be so enthralled with each new release and now it just seems like the characters go through the same turmoils in each book. Unlike most of the other story lines, the foursome didn't seem to work together in this story, just a little bit of each of their story scattered throughout. I really like when they work together on a case, so that was a bummer here.

The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters to life.

As always, it reads quickly, has good suspense, and lots of twists and turns. Now, just need to remember all the players by the time #15 is released...

Definitely wasn't prepared for a cliffhanger...
