 「コーヒー」年配の女性から聞いたお話です。
長年連れ添った旦那さんがいまして、もうすぐ金婚式を迎えようという、
結婚してから、ほとんど喧嘩もしない、仲の良いご夫婦。
二人ともコーヒーが好きで、毎日コーヒーを淹れて飲んでいる。
いつもコーヒーメーカーで作っていた。機械に水を入れ、紙のフィルターに挽いた豆を入れる。
スイッチを入れると、しばらくしていい香りが漂ってきて、コーヒーが出来上がる。
二人共、昼下がり、お菓子を食べながら、コーヒーを飲みながら、お喋りするのが好きだった。
旦那さんは苦味の強いマンデリンが好きで、奥さんは酸味のあるモカマタリが好きだった。
ある日のこと。

「エイリアン」五十代の女性で、ミホさん。子供の頃、テレビで映画をやっていまして、これが「エイリアン」。
ご存じの方も多いでしょう。リドリー・スコット監督、シガニー、ウィーバー主演。
エイリアンのデザインは、H・R・ギーガーという。映画史に残る傑作です。私も大好きな映画です。
宇宙船の中で、乗組員の胸から、エイリアンが飛び出すシーンは、子供のミホさんに強い印象を残した。
トラウマといいましょうかねえ。寝るときも、ひょっとすると自分の中にエイリアンがいて、
いつか体を食い破って出てくるんじゃないか、そんな思いがありました。

「火星」男性のお話。
子供の頃、家の前には自然いっぱい、果物畑が広がっていた。
自然が多いから、様々な鳥が飛んでくる。ヒヨドリ、ムクドリ、シジュウカラ、ウグイス、キジバト、アカゲラ、キジ。親に双眼鏡を買ってもらい、野鳥観察するのが好きだった。
ある初夏の夜のこと。二階の一室で、布団で寝ていたこの男性。クーラーのない部屋。
大きな窓が二か所あり、両方の窓を開けて、網戸にしていると、風がスーッと通り抜けて気持ちいい。
寝ながら窓の外を見ると、満月が見えた。そうだ。あの双眼鏡で、一度、月を眺めてみようと考えた。すると・・・
