 自らも被爆者である峠三吉による詩集。詩を通じて、反戦・平和・反原爆への強い思いを訴えた。収録作品の一つである『序』は峠の代表作であり、原子爆弾をテーマにした詩の中で名作の１つとされている。詩の中での記述から『にんげんをかえせ』という題でも広く認知されている。

＜峠三吉＞
詩人。大正6年(1917)2月19日~昭和28年(1953)3月10日。大阪に父嘉一、母ステの五人兄弟の末子(三男)として生まれる。大正12年広島市の小学校に入学、一四歳の頃より詩をつくり始める。一八歳で広島県立商業学校卒業後、肺結核と診断され、ほとんど寝たきり生活となり、病床で詩、短歌、俳句をつくり、新聞・雑誌に投稿。昭和17年(1942)キリスト教の洗礼をうける。20年8月6日に原爆被災。原爆の後遺症に苦しみながら、詩作活動、文化活動をつづける。Public Domain (P)Roundemy Co., Ltd. Poetry
