 日本浪曲協会の協力を得て提供する浪曲の解説付の名曲選。伊丹秀子の浪曲「沓掛時次郎」です。「沓掛時次郎」は長谷川伸の戯曲がもとになった浪曲。信州沓掛生れの時次郎は渡世の義理から六ツ田の三蔵に斬りつけた。だがその原因が、溜田の助五郎による三蔵の妻おきぬへの横恋慕であることを知るが、助五郎は三蔵にとどめを刺し逃げてしまう。三蔵は妻と子供の太郎吉を時次郎に託すと、息を引き取った。助五郎に追われる身となった時次郎は、幼い太郎吉を背負い、おきぬとともに彼女の父がいる足利宿へと急ぐが、途中の宿でおきぬは病に倒れてしまう。この演目は伊丹秀子（二代目 天中軒雲月）としてカムバックしてまもない頃の録音。なお芝居でも股旅物の傑作として、新国劇で人気を博した作品でもあります。（世界発：音声解説付き）©2024 Pamlink Corp.
