 日本浪曲協会の協力を得て提供する浪曲の解説付の名曲選。浪曲 名月赤城山は二代広沢虎造の有名な演目です。侠客国定忠治は宿敵島村伊三郎を斬った。凶状持となった忠治は赤城ごもりと赤城落ちを繰り返した。その最中に忠治は十手に追われ、危内に立たされる。それを内通したのが忠治の子分板割浅太郎の伯父の三室の勘助だと勘違いした忠治。忠治は浅太郎に伯父である勘助を斬るように命じる。伯父に限って内通などしないと感じていた浅太郎だったが親分の命には逆らえず、勘助を斬るために赤城山を下る。浅太郎が出掛けた後に子分の日光の円蔵から事の真相を聞かされる。誤りに気付いた忠治が子分の頑鉄に後を追わせたが間に合わず、浅太郎は伯父を殺害する。その後忠治は自分の犯した過ちに盃を水に流してもらいたいという浅太郎に心底詫びる。残された勘助の息子の勘坊を背に「勘坊良い子だねんねしな　お前の父ちゃん殺したは　忠治が一生の誤りだ　許しておくれよねんねしな」と子守唄を歌って読み終える。（世界発：音声解説付き）©2024 Pamlink Corp.
