 日本浪曲協会の協力を得て提供する浪曲の解説付の名曲選。浪曲 勧進帳は初代春日井梅鶯の代表的な演目です。百科事典によれば、 勧進帳とは歌舞伎狂言の名称で 、歌舞伎十八番のひとつであり、元祖市川團十郎が元禄十五年に「星合十二段」として演じたものを、その後復活しようとしたが既にその時の脚本が消滅していた。そこで、能の「安宅」に講談で評判の山伏問答を加え、七世市川海老蔵が立案と演出、三世並木五瓶が脚色、四世杵屋六三郎が作曲、四世西川扇蔵が振付けして天保十一年江戸川原崎座で初演されたとある。江戸時代に能は幕府の式楽で 、庶民は容易に近づけない貴族芸術であったのを、海老蔵が初めて歌舞伎に取り入れた画期的な作である。三代目吉田奈良丸の勧進帳は 、その声柄と云い、態度風貌来る重厚さと云い、全く他の追従を許さない独断場とも云うべき演題となった。筋は義経が兄頼朝の追捕の手を遁れて奥州落ちする途中、越すに越れぬ安宅関所を、弁慶の智略によって関守富樫左ヱ門尉を説破するという山場を中心に、新しく春日井梅鶯がその前後を語る初演の二段語りである。（世界発：音声解説付き）©2024 Pamlink Corp.
