 日本浪曲協会の協力を得て提供する浪曲の解説付の名曲選。初代春日井梅鶯の浪曲「佐倉義民伝」から「妻子別れ」の一席。下総国印旛郡公津台方村の名主佐倉宗吾(佐倉惣五郎)が、佐倉藩の重税の負担に苦しむ農民を代表して将軍に直訴を決意するが、一目家族に会おうと戻ってくる。うちでは女房おさんと子供が帰りを待ちわびていた。ようやく戻ってきた宗吾を家族は喜んで迎える。だが女房は夫の書いた「去り状」を見つける。直訴することによって、家族へ累が及ばないようにとの配慮から書かれた去り状だった。夫の覚悟を悟った女房は泣いて懇願し宗吾は去り状を破る。夜中、旅立とうとする宗吾に子供たちはすがりつくが、振り切って宗吾は江戸へと急ぐ。（世界発：音声解説付き）©2024 Pamlink Corp.
