About this listen
Submission takes many forms in this collection of 69 short stories, from straining in bondage to taking a spanking, being put on display, and beyond. By turns bratty and worshipful, these submissives will go to great lengths to fulfill their naughtiest fantasies and are rewarded splendidly by their masters and mistresses. A student returns to show his former teacher who's really in charge, a photo shoot becomes an opportunity for erotic games, and a man revels in his wife's past as a former dominatrix. These brats, masochists, and hungry-for-sensation subs go above and beyond for the ones they adore, pushing themselves to new limits while their devious dominants put them through their paces. Edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, these short stories sizzle with the tension of erotic power play, commands followed, and service willingly performed.

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

I'm about to throw an ashtray at my boss's head. Turns out, the mind behind my favorite, steamy romance novels...the ones I only read in private...the ones that are my only escape after a long day of dealing with The Boss from Hell? It's not Natalie McBride, the sweet, rural housewife. It's him. That's right: my boss, Adrian Risinger, the 33-year-old, maddeningly sexy, pissant billionaire "bad boy" who thinks he runs my life. He is also the author of all my deepest, most secret fantasies.

Throughout my life, all that's ever mattered to me has been the win and the thrill of the game. But then I meet Roxie, and everything changes. She's the girl no one sees, completely opposite from the world I live in and the life I lead, but I don't care. She makes me better. She makes me see things in ways I never have before, and I think I do that for her, too. The problem is the complications in my life may see fit to end us, test her in ways I'm sure she's never been tested.

Smut sells. Michael Rourke learned this the hard way. Struggling to make ends meet as a mystery writer, he sold his soul - and his pride - as he pedaled sex and lust writing under the pen name Christoph Strong. No one knew he was the one behind the steamy stories on the best sellers lists. And he planned to keep it that way. Until he met her.

Something for everyone
Most of the stories were great. However, I didn’t know there would be some stories that I would not care for, but others would. (Most tales were guy/girl, but there was plenty of guy/guy, girl/girl, and varieties of such). Some stories were even hardcore (like bleeding for someone) that to me was a bit too hardcore, but most of those are towards the end of the book.

Submit to this fabulous collection
Would you consider the audio edition of The Big Book of Submission to be better than the print version?
Both are fantastic depending - the stories are the same, the choice of medium is up to you.
Who was your favorite character and why?
There are 69 short stories of Domination and submission - everyone will have their own favourite. I particularly enjoyed Beautiful by Teresa Noelle Roberts and The Shoot by DL King.
What about Rose Caraway’s performance did you like?
Rose Caraway is the consummate performer when it comes to reading erotica - fantastic!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Beautiful is a very moving - about a woman who has lived through cancer and is reclaiming her sexuality.
Any additional comments?
This is a truly amazing audio book. There are 69 - yes, really - stories of Dominance and submission by more than a handful of the top writers in erotica today including Kay Jaybee, Sommer Marsden, Annabeth Leong, Valerie Alexander, Salome Wilde, Teresa Noelle Roberts, D L King, Jade A Waters, Kristina Wright, Erzabet Bishop, Giselle Renarde, Rob Rosen, Donna George Storey and of course Rachel Kramer Bussel herself - to name but a few? You could listen to it for eight hours straight, submitting yourself to 69 consecutive acts of submission, or you could go for a story a day for 69 days in a row. Instant gratification or drip by sexy drip...

Very sexy
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Big Book of Submission?
The opening story, I Want to Feel You, set a tone for the book. I love reading about spankings and such, but I really enjoy getting a peek into the mental aspects of BDSM, and there's plenty of both in this book. The way the bottom telling that story laid out exactly what she wants her top to do was incredibly hot to me.
Which character – as performed by Rose Caraway – was your favorite?
The letter writer in Dear Sir, another one where a woman is confessing her deepest fears to her Sir and how much love and trust it took to overcome them. There was such intimacy to the story, and Rose made it so beautiful, I listened to it several times.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Along with the more intense stories, I liked the humor of a sunbathing sub being caught off guard in Where The Sun Don't Shine.
Any additional comments?
Yes, these stories are short, some almost a tease, but a good kind of tease. I loved wondering what would happen next to these bottoms.

Kink and Rose Caraway enjoyable
Would you consider the audio edition of The Big Book of Submission to be better than the print version?
Never saw print version, audible with Rose Caraway doing narration was extremely well done. What I also enjoyed was that not all the "Submission" was women, there were men submitting as well. It was a nice mix of stories if this is a genre that you would enjoy.
What other book might you compare The Big Book of Submission to and why?
This is an anthology of short stories, mixing both male and female submission. It's hard to compare to another book unless it's also an anthology of short stories in this genre.
Which character – as performed by Rose Caraway – was your favorite?
She was delectable doing all the characters. Rose Caraway has a way with narrating EROTICA. I've listened to her narrate several Erotic pieces and they were all enjoyable to me.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Since there were 69 short stories, it was easy to stop and start at my leisure.Since I enjoy ALL TYPES OF EROTICA.......this was just one more I can enjoy again when I feel like a naughty listen.
Any additional comments?
This is not for everyone. Submission is consensual, and also part of many peoples fantasies. (Just because a person enjoys reading Murder mysteries, doesn't make them a Murderer) Same for Erotica, most sensual part of any person is their brain. If you enjoy Erotica, you may enjoy this as well.

So much hotter than Fifty Shades of Grey
What did you love best about The Big Book of Submission?
I liked the variety. Yes, there were some stories that were hotter than others for me, but I most appreciated that these stories were so different from one another AND that not all the bottoms were women. As a writer, of course Writer's Block spoke to me - who wouldn't want that kind of kinky encouragement? These stories are clearly fantasies, and with Rose Caraway's perfect voice, they took me away into fantasy land instantly.
What did you like best about this story?
I never got bored because the stories move along at a great pace. Plus they gave me lots of ideas I had never considered before in terms of BDSM.
Which scene was your favorite?
Fitting Assignment - I've thought about it every time I've shopped for lingerie since hearing it! It's about something I would never do but can definitely enjoy hearing about.

Loved the variety
Where does The Big Book of Submission rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I wasn't sure what to expect with this audiobook, and especially wasn't sure if it would be "too much" for me in terms of the BDSM. But what was great to me is that even the stories that weren't ones I'd normally pick up were sexy and short. There were all sorts of things that I didn't expect, like how shopping could turn into a kinky activity.
What did you like best about this story?
The variety of types of stories. They weren't all about one type of submission, but lots of ways it can happen.
Have you listened to any of Rose Caraway’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to her podcast. This is just as good!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, although I did wind up listening to all the stories at one point or another, but then went back and listened to my favorites. They are short enough I could listen to a few while getting ready in the morning and then more at night.
Any additional comments?
If you're curious like me but uncertain, this is worth a try.
