She breaks the relationship off, he's crushed. Can they pick up where they left off, both heartbroken, both desperate to make it work, both so in love that there's nothing for it but to get married.

When Christine's husband Brad leaves her for a twenty-something named Blossom Christine's shattered. But she picks herself up and begins the process of putting her life back together. Convinced to go on a blind date she meets Kiefer McDonald and there's an instant connection. He works in construction he's a crane operator. Christine, quiet by accident, got into modelling and when she meets Kiefer she's quite well known. Despite their differences they laugh and talk easily. That first date leads to a serious relationship in which Kiefer asks Christine to marry him. But Christine sees too many problems. The age difference. Her daughters. The oldest is in a dysfunctional marriage - the youngest is just dysfunctional. Her ex. Brad married Blossom but keeps running back to Christine. Despite Christine's turbulent life Kiefer is there, handsome, patient, steady, kind, easy to talk to and easy to love. But overcome with guilt Christine breaks the relationship off. She wants Kiefer to meet a younger woman that he can have a child with. That's not what Kiefer wants though, he wants Christine. He has two nephews that he spoils rotten he says he doesn't need a child of his own to feel fulfilled. After running out of reasons not to marry Kiefer and because she's desperately in love with him Christine finally says yes and they get married.
Sometimes life is strange. For instance, Christine's daughters, the one in the dysfunctional marriage, her husband took her on a vacation to Paris and nine months later she had a baby boy. The other daughter, the one that was just dysfunctional, she met the love of her life, got married, and had a baby boy. Christine's ex, the guy that married the twenty-something all he wanted was sex, fun and more sex and fun. What his twenty-something wife wanted was a baby and a home life. To Brad's chagrin he wound up changing diapers while Blossom collected receipts.
Christine and Kiefer lived in their bubble of love. Christine glowed with happiness. Kiefer was the happiest he'd ever been. Then in an astonishing, almost unbelievable twist of fate, their life jumped from happiness straight into utter bliss when they became the parents of a nine pound bouncing baby boy.
