Great story line with underlying depth!

When chemistry is there its hard to resist! Loyalty is a key in many lives that never goes away! There are many depth to this story which made it hard to put down!

Love this series!

The Renegades series is one of my favorites. The stories are always interesting and the narration is great. This is an automatic buy for me.

A PERFECT LISTEN... A HOT & ANGSTY LOVE STORY

The feisty and beautiful Rachel is a valued member of the Renegade Team, she verbally gives as good as she gets and won't put up with any crap that's dished out by the hot and hunky Alpha Stunt Men that surround her as she co-ordinates events on this Bond film and efficiently runs the Renegade Office too. She's sworn off relationships because her Sister stole her Fiancé and it's left a nasty scar... on Rachel's heart and emotions and it's driven a wedge between her and the rest of her family. Jax has just asked her to go and pick up Ryker - Troy's very good buddy who he's using to set up a scene in the film where his expertise in explosives is needed because he's a Master Sgnt in the Rangers and is on leave from Afghanistan. Ryker's droolworthy, he's a hot and very sexy tattooed Alpha but he's witnessed bad shit, lost good men and feels responsible and the only way he can cope with the memories is to bury his head in the sand..... or, to put it another way, to bury his head in a multitude of pussies!!

Rachel and Ryker don't meet in the conventional or planned way and their banter was so enjoyable to listen to and, as the sizzling glances became molten and their venue changed, Ryker kept Rachel in the dark as to his true identity (naughty naughty naughty). But their chance meeting did lead to a smokin and sexy one night stand after which neither one of them was expecting to see the other person again... however fate and destiny stepped in and the consequences were delicious, dramatic, frustrating, romantic, h..h..hot and very very entertaining.

Dual POV's, another well written steamy romance to add to this wonderful series, the plot's so addictive and I instantly got caught up in all the unfolding scenes and I just didn't want to be released. There's a lot of character growth, touching, tender and emotional scenes as well as a few tense angst and drama filled scenes too. The loveable characters from previous books are present as well as a few new faces. I loved Piper Goodeve's narration because she can easily give us sexy Alpha voices, she adds a full kaleidoscope of emotions to the dialogue and each character has their own easily recognizable voice.

Worth a credit? For me, this was one of Skye Jordan's best.... yes, it was all a bit 'instant' lust and everything but, for me, it's a fictional guilty pleasure, I loved it and I think it's very very creditworthy. Infact I feel like listening to them all over again and please please please Audible hurry up and add more.

This series is amazing and Ricaret is no different then any other soldier coming home. And, unfortunately the women and families pay the price or helps put them back together.

Pretty good addition to the series :)

3.5-4 stars

This was a pretty good story. I liked Rachel and Ryker and their story was enjoyable overall.

Rachel works as a assistant/office manager for Renegades stunt company. Rachel grew up with parents and sister that she loves. Unfortunately, her sister is a selfish woman that stole Rachel's boyfriend and since Rachel has always been the giving one, her parents and sister feel that it's her responsibility to overlook her sister's betrayal and forgive and forget. Rachel however, isn't willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of familial peace.

Ryker is an Army Ranger who's been in the service for 16 years. Ryker had some trouble on his last tour, an explosion from a boobie trap that killed most of his team. Ryker grew up in foster-care with Troy (a member of Renegades) who is like a brother to him. Ryker is on forced leave when Troy asks him to come and help with a stunt explosion for Renegades.

Ryker is flying into town to see Troy and help out with an explosion needed for a movie Renegades is working on. Rachel gets tagged to go pick him up from LAX and isn't happy about it because it's Friday afternoon in LA. Rachel makes it out o the airport but doesn't have Ryker's number to get a hold of him. They have issues meeting up and both think they've been stood up...which means both of them find the closest bar to the gate. They end up sitting beside each other in the bar and Rachel doesn't realize that Ryker is Ryker because he introduces himself by his first name, Nathan. Ryker didn't recognize who Rachel was at first but he's so attracted to her that he doesn't stop his attempt at seduction once he realizes who she is. They end up in a hotel room together for a night neither of them will forget.

Ryker didn't think he'd see Rachel again, figuring she worked in the office and he probably wouldn't be spending much time in the field where Ryker would be. Things don't turn out that way though as Troy's favor ends up being more involved than Ryker was prepared for. Rachel never sleeps with anyone having to do with her work so she's freaked by the thought of anyone finding out. Ryker finds that he wants more from Rachel and, since they can't keep their hands off of each other anyways, he works on trying to get more time with her. Rachel is rather reluctant but it's mostly because she's normally does relationships and she's afraid of getting hurt when Ryker leaves. Unfortunately, even if she's willing to risk it, Ryker's PTSD issues and his denial of them have made things impossible the way they stand. There are problems and drama but they are overcome so that Ryker and Rachel end things heading towards a HEA together.

This was a pretty enjoyable story. Rachel was a good heroine and I mostly liked her. I could have done without her trying to push Ryker away but I can understand why she did it and it wasn't overly annoying. I liked Ryker mostly but when he lashed out because of his PTSD, I just wanted to slap him. The story was pretty good but I was rather frustrated by the lack of happy times...they went from angst to HEA in the end with nothing in between and that bothers me.

I love Piper Goodeve's voice. she really brings this series to life. I can't wait for the next book.

another great book from Skye

loved this book. I was so worried about Rachel and Ryker ending up together. I wish these books were an actual stores where you had to read one to understand the next. I don't like that they are stand alone books
