The book starts off with both MCs meeting at a Play event and there's no other way to start but by ripping off the bandage, so to speak. The MCs find they are compatible and start a relationship but both their pasts throw obstacles in their budding love. The story ends with a HEA.
Although, I was able to pick up the story as a standalone easily. I will probably go back to books 1 and 2 to get more of the background to the contemporary Brotherhood club.
