About this listen

Francis Barclay is the omega son of a wealthy family, just wed to Prince Merritt Augustus, heir to the throne. But Francis is not content with a business arrangement and the chance of friendship and nothing more. To his shock he finds that his alpha feels the same. His new husband sets about wooing him in the quiet retreat of the country estate where they have traveled for their honeymoon, and Francis is surprised by how quickly the tenuous bond of an arranged marriage becomes something more while doing things passionately, rough, and unprotected!

Would I listen to it again: i'd be more inclined to read it - not listen to it
Did the story keep me engaged: reasonably, but the narrator was a distraction
Was I invested in the characters: yes
Story comment: sweet romance with likeable characters but there needs to be more.

Narrator comment: The narration is really flat and stilted, in addition to the mispronunciations, it doesn't do this book any favors. The narrator has tried to put inflections into the characters, and there are 'glimpses' of what he can do, but he needs practice - it reminds me of an automated text book.
(it could also be that this was produced in 2015 and i'm reviewing it in 2020 and my expectations of audio has increased exponentially over the last few years!).

OK story - not the right narrator

The story itself, I found to be pretty good. I am a huge fan Alpha/Omega stories especially where there is Mpreg involved, but the narrator sounded like someone who just learned to read. The was character deferential, there wasn't even any kind inflection in his voice. Overall, I just really quite listening and pulled up the story and read it myself.

The Narration was not good

To offer 3 narrated books at these prices? 32 minutes of a poorly two to three word at a time presentation and call it narration was the second disappointment. And to call it a Story or a Book is an insult. Please, Mr. Bates, take these back and add the quality you are now capable of doing. And find a narrator that will read your work until it can be done at a professional level.

Story too short & empty to be on any market.

Would you try another book from Aiden Bates and/or Trevor Clinger?

From Aiden Bates yes, but not with the same narrator.

Has Omega: Fated to His Alpha Prince turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. I'm fan of mm paranormal stories

Would you be willing to try another one of Trevor Clinger’s performances?

No. The delivery was stiff, unenthusiastic and distracted from the story. His voice /delivery is a huge distraction.

What character would you cut from Omega: Fated to His Alpha Prince?

I can't answer this question. The stiff 1. 2, 3 break cadence that the narration was delivered distracted me from the story so much I honestly don't recall any of the short story.

Any additional comments?

Choose a narrator who will bring you words to life. The wrong narrator or delivery will ruin a good story, but will destroy a half way decent story.

Narration distracted from the story

Struggled to finish this book due to the readers horrible pronunciation along with stilted way of speaking. The audio completely ruined to book for me.

Horrible Audio
