Als die Letzten gegangen waren, lagen wir beide ganz allein im weichen Sand und sahen die Sonne untergehen. Wir zogen uns aus und tauchten ins warme Wasser. In der Ferne ein Segelboot, das immer kleiner wurde. "Oh, nein, die kommen zurück!" schrie sie, und presste sich unter Wasser an mich...
Ich war siebzehn, saß allein in meinem Strandkorb und blätterte in "Königliche Hoheit". Aber meine Gedanken lümmelten sich im Wind wie die Möwen und hatten überhaupt keine Lust auf Thomas Mann und Abi-Aufsätze. Denn ein paar Schritte weiter lag sie.
