Great Story!

The story itself is great! Teddy is sweet but she definitely is self aware of her weight and looks. especially after being bullied over it. And meeting her mate and having him at first not happy with her looks just reinforces that. However, he learns very quickly that she is beautiful as is. That she is beautiful not just in looks but her heart and soul as well. The narration was ok for me. Sometimes it just seemed a little monotone. All in all, still a good listen!

Sweet Romance

I love this story! It translates well to audio book. I found the narrator a touch detached in the beginning. I prefer the narrator to be more engaged as if they are telling the story not just reading. Not sure if she got better or I just got used to her. I could not give her 5 stars though. The story and the audiobook overall is definitely 5 stars. I would listen to it again which is my way to determine a 5 Star book!
I love the characters! She is strong and interesting. He is believable; a bit of a jerk in the beginning and lovable by the end! This is a keeper!

There is more to life then looks.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Teddy and Reece are two people who come from different backgrounds and different species. Fate, that crazy bitch, decided that it would makes sense to allow a bear, who has body issues, and a wolf, who thinks that he is hot shit, get together. Fate was right. Teddy and Recce, even though they come from different backgrounds ground one another. In a relationship you are supposed to learn from one another and that is what happens with these two.

Even though it start rough on both sides it did not take Reece as long to accept his relationship as it did with Teddy. I can understand her hesitation and her doubt about Reece but it was starting to get old. I am glad that Reece keep showing Teddy what she means to him and I am glad that she accepted it.

The only reason I am not giving this book a 5 is because of the way Reece reacted to Teddy in the beginning and the fact it took Teddy too long to see that Reece changed.

Loves form is not always the norm

What’s a girl to do when her mate seems disappointed when he sees her and her beautiful curves? Why run of course and also ignore his advances. This story touches bases with a lot of insecurities plus size woman face. It’s beautifully written and it’s also a laugh out loud story with a big sexy alpha who fought to win his Teddy.

Teddy is not willing to go through the heartache her sister and mother suffered when their mates strayed, so she is determined to resist his advances. However, fate and her family will not allow her to miss the chance to be happy.

Short Shifter Short Story

Neither wolf shifter Reece, nor bear shifter Teddy, are looking for a mate. So of course, they run into each other when they least expect it. Reece is used to tall, lithe women, so when he realizes his mate is short, round and chubby, he is initially horrified. Teddy sees his disgust on his face and chooses to ignore him and the mate pull, and besides, she expected her mate to be a bear. Though she has learned to love herself and her body, her mate's reaction causes all the hurt from her history come back and she has a hard time forgiving him. Reece quickly realizes he was being stupid, and tries to win her heart.

I already had (read and loved) this story, so was excited to listen to the audible, which was gifted by the author. This is my honest review.

The story: I wish I had found this book when I was in my teens. I was very much like Teddy before she learned to love herself. I think it would have helped me to love myself and saved me much heartache. The story has some very steamy scenes, so be prepared! The book flows well, and though some people think Teddy's insecurities went on for too long, I can certainly understand it, so didn't think that was the case. I do wish the story were longer, so we could learn more about Teddy's family and other secondary characters. I really enjoyed the book and it is on my "multi-read" list.

The audible: I'm new to listening to audibles, and this is only my third. The performances really bring Ms. Langlais' humor out even more, and I frequently found myself laughing out loud. Another benefit of audibles is that I can listen while in the pool! I really enjoyed the performance, but do wish this narrator was a little less "stilted". Maybe it is because I"m from the South, but sometimes her very precise pronunciations brought me out of the story. The other audibles I've listened to seemed more flowing than this narrator. Overall, I really enjoyed listening!

Snuggle up with His Teddy Bear!

I was already familiar with the incomparable Eve Langlais's work, and was excited to dig in to "His Teddy Bear".
Teddy and Reece are an adorable couple, and their progression from new mates to HEA was a trip to listen to.
As Teddy worked through her insecurities, and Reece learned more about her, they had some real tender moments, in addition to the witty back and forth that first drew me to Langlais's novels. They made a beautiful couple and I can't wait to read another of Langlais's books.

True mates conquer all.

I will admit that at first glance I did not like Reese i wanted to knock his head off his shoulders. I decided to give the book a chance and I am glad I did because it ended up being amazing and besides the shifter part resonated with real life. Would recommend it to anyone who loves paranormal romance novels hands down.
