sweet story

I absolutely adored Kenneth Obi's narration of Garrett. He did a fantastic job voicing these characters.
Wyatt is just too sweet for words. Garrett, is oblivious to Wyatt's pining. The bdsm elements are very, very light. I just wish the story was a bit longer.

Such a great story!

This was such a great read and I loved listening to this. I love Garrett and Wyatt. They both are perfect for each other. This is definitely a series I would recommend. I also love this narrator. He does an amazing job. I love it when a narrator brings the story to life.

4 Brothers + BDSM = Great series

I read “The Owners,” the prequel for this series of books, and enjoyed it. Although the introduction of so many characters was overwhelming, it provided me with the set-up for the series. I got a feel for Ben and his submissive, Connor, owners of the club. If I only got the image of Connor when he’s drunk, that was enough. Ben and Connor appear in the books, but interestingly, the club does not appear in this first book.

I love the premise of this series – 4 brothers, all gay and all into the BDSM lifestyle. The four brothers are differentiated both by their preferences and in their temperaments. They inherited an insurance company when their father passed and each fills a different role there.

Garrett is good with people, so he works in the office, meeting with clients and preparing insurance policies. Honestly, I barely think about insurance (which I’m sure is bad), but in the first few minutes, I learned a lot and in a fun way.

That was probably because of Wyatt. The young man is a submissive and had previously spotted Garrett at the BDSM club. Wyatt is facing the dilemma many submissives do – how to approach a Dominant? Especially one as charismatic and strong as Garrett. The submissive worries about being rejected – but isn’t that a fear we all face? And Garrett doesn’t want to presume anything about Wyatt, who’s a customer, and Garrett knows he shouldn’t go there.

Interventions and pushes by friends and family encourage the two men to take a chance on each other. Garrett sees the real Wyatt – a creative and beautiful submissive who needs someone to take a strong hand to him. Wyatt’s mind is chaotic and Garrett has the ability to soothe and calm. They take things slow, working through negotiations and having in-depth discussions about what each needs and what each can bring to the relationship.

Sound boring? Far from it. Once the initial discussions are conducted, the men move into the fun – orgasm denial, spankings, and more. But the relationship is far more than just physical. There is a connection of souls, two men who can meld their lives and get their needs met while loving someone.

This is a lovely quick listen. As Garrett says to Wyatt, “you’re my anything, sweet. I’m keeping you for payment as your pleasure”. He then proclaims his love.

I love my happy endings and have ‘Brent’ cued up in my iPod.

Kenneth Obi. Give the man props, he is good at what he does. I first heard him narrating M.A. Innes’ books and his voice is both soothing and energetic. He has a distinct voice for each of the brothers and handles Wyatt’s southern drawl very well. He adds to the book and I’m glad to see he’s narrating the other books in the series. I can’t wait to listen to them.

Garrett

The Dom in Garrett cannot help but notice Wyatt. Every time Wyatt comes in to the insurance agency he drives Garrett to distraction. Wyatt longs to see the man and finds any way that he can to do so. When Garrett finally gets a clue to Wyatt’s behavior the sparks begin to ignite.

While Wyatt and Garrett’s story revolves around the BDSM lifestyle it is a sweet romance. I loved both men and they made a great couple. Wyatt is a sub that needs a hand with his focus and Garrett is just the Dom to do it. He realizes what Wyatt needs and is more than ready to give it to him. It was nice to see their relationship take shape and grow. Narrator Kenneth Obi does a good job of bringing the characters and their story to life. Their adventure is a quick and engaging story. Not only did Wyatt and Garrett make an impression but many of the secondary characters made themselves known and I am eager to see who gets their story told next.

Hot and Sensual

I really enjoyed this sweet and sensual read. Wyatt is just too cute in how he keeps making up excuses to go see Garrett at his office, and Garrett is really cluelessas to why Wyatt keeps coming by. When Garrett, a dom, finally realizes that Wyatt is a sub and wants him, it's great to see their relationship finally develop from there. Garrett and Wyatt really are perfect together and I absolutely love Garrett's family.
I really enjoyed the narrator, I think he did a great job of bringing the story to life and differentiating the characters.

Bound & Controlled... A BDSM Book for Everyone!

Would you listen to Garrett again? Why?

This book touches on the world of BDSM. It isn't extremely detailed but does explain the concept of BDSM. I would recommend this book to someone who has never read BDSM and is interested. I wish I had a book like this when I first started reading BDSM. If you are interested in BDSM, PLEASE listen (or read) this book!

Getting What You Need

This is a sweet story about Garrett and Wyatt. Garrett helps run an insurance agency with his brothers and Wyatt is one of their clients. Wyatt has been coming in and asking questions about his policy and paying for his coverage several times a month. Everyone is starting to wonder what's going on because making that many trips to see your insurance agent isn't the norm.

When Wyatt visits Garrett to get coverage for his new business venture Garrett gets some new information that could change everything. What happens when these two finally get their wires uncrossed.

I really liked this story. Garrett and Wyatt are really sweet with each other but I also liked the desire and heat that they had together. They like to push each other's buttons and they both enjoy the play. I liked Garrett's family and Wyatt's friend Carter and I'm looking forward to continuing this series to see more from these guys.

I really enjoyed Kenneth Obi's narration of this audiobook. It was easy to listen too and I really liked the voices he gave to these men.

I received a copy of this audiobook but this is my honest review.

excellent diversion

A fairly straightforward BDSM story that has an undercurrent of sweetness and interesting secondary characters.
