About this listen

He is the one man who could destroy me, and the only man I’ve ever loved.

Jay Hanson has worn many titles in my life. Boyfriend. Enemy. Ghost.

Now he’s my boss.

I thought that was bad enough until he forced a new title on me…husband.

Little does he know I’m about to shake things up.

I’m not the same girl he broke all those years ago and life is about to get Extra Dirty.

Author's Note: Extra Dirty is Book 2 in the Extra Dirty Duet. It is a forbidden, billionaire, second chance romance with her brothers' enemy and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

Oh my goodness! That beginning! That middle! The end! Wtf is going on?

This world goes so much deeper into the dark than I could have ever expected. Jay is back in Cat’s life 13 years after the end of the first book, and a whole lot has changed. Cat has been hiding a huge secret from her family, and Jay has no clue.

Strings have been pulled for years to keep these two appear, the question is will all the strings be cut so these two can finally be happy?

I got completely sucked into this book and loved every rollercoaster minute of it!

First of all, the narrators were on point! Joe and Stella did fantastic…I expected nothing less from these two!

As far as the books, I’m going to go ahead and review them together since this is Catherine’s book 2, we’re just full of “extra” information. If you read Cash’s books, these books for a lot of the timeline flowed next to those and we were reading it from a different pov, which I get, but it got kinda boring to me. Some of it was good info but some of it I sped right through.

I originally wanted to read Irish but saw on review that I his origin story starts these books so I that’s why I read all 4 of these books. Finally, I’m getting to the book I really wanted.

The spice was good. Not ah-maz -ing! 😏

Anyway, off to read Irish, with Joe Arden! 😉

Great story just a little too long…

So I read Irish before I read this one and I’m about to read it again just so it can be in order. Amazing! This book was full of suspense and love and spice. It was everything.

Whoa!!!!!

Jay finally gets his girl and family but not without lots more drama. Maybe penance for the terrible choices he had to make to secure Cat’s safety but it was also a bit sad that they continue to have to deal with drama and struggles even while continuing to love each other. Lots of drama, romance, dirty sex, and some local color though more could have been done with the settings of Boston and Bristol or RI and Massachusetts. Cat was annoyingly conflicted for much of the first half and Jay was doggedly single sited though he tried to help Grace pretty quickly after setting her up. Grandpa was not a sympathetic character though because while he was understandably protective he was cruel in not being honest with Cat early on. Also a bit far fetched that so many missed who Chloe resembled.
The narration was great. Seemlessly performed in duet which is the best for thes books!
Great epilogues and we have One more related sequel book so far but sadly nothing mentioned on both pairs of brothers or the next generation beyond the epilogue teaser. This book though provided most of the answers that had yet to be revealed and was done at a good pace. Well worth the purchase price or credit.

Answers to Cat & Jay’s star crossed love

I love this story with all of my heart! Cat and Jay are everything and having music be incorporated to the story was brilliant

Great love story

It feels like it takes forever to get to the point. The family updates and motives are not very well explained. Plus, the background business stuff seems chaotic and poorly put together, there's not really updates on it and when there are it's shallow and far-reaching. I know it's about Kat and Jay but it's still important to have more than just sex. It goes from "no big deal" to "gotta fight the mob". Even when big things happen it doesn't feel stressful because I had trouble connecting with the characters. Everything finally came to a head in the last hour and I feel like I could've skipped most of the book. I do still like this one more than the first of these two books. Jay is my favorite character out of all of these.

Story: 14/10
Spice:5/5
Spice Hierarchy: Spicy
Narration: 5/5

Jay’s family and Cat’s family have been rivals for years. But these two have been written in the stars. If they can ever get past the revenge, families, lies, and hurt.

I loved this duet. Jay is gone for his woman. The entire time. I laughed more than I thought I would for all the angst between these two.

I loved getting Jay and Cat’s backstory that we missed from the Whiskey Duet (not necessary to read, but please don’t be a fool like me, read them).

Yes I was mad at Brittanee for how she ripped my heart out at the end of Dirty
Truths. Don’t worry, she is my friend and I let her know I still love her.

I thought I would be ok to relive parts from Whiskey. I was wrong. Now I’m getting hurt twice! It hurt when it was Grace and Cash and it hurts now when it’s Cat and Jay. I got mad at Jay. And I wanted to shake Cat. But they figure it out. EVENTUALLY! The angst she put me through with these two is not something I typically like. But gah, these two are worth it.

Brittanee is top tier when it comes to Easter eggs in her writing. I immediately become giddy.

Stella Bloom and Joe Arden deliver with this narration. You can hear love being portrayed as each character breaks and the other puts them back together. The sass both deliver with their sarcastic voices is exactly what is needed.

This duet is in my soul
