About this listen

Summer is a violinist trying to make it.
Dominik is a professor who knows what he wants...

Frustrated with her relationship, Summer decides to break up with her boyfriend, instead spending her afternoons getting lost in her music.

When her violin is unexpectedly damaged, she receives an offer she can't quite turn down: play a private concert for Dominik, and he'll buy her a new violin. Intrigued, and desperate for a replacement, she agrees to it.

Soon, the chemistry between the two becomes too electric to deny. And as Dominik uncovers the strings that unleash Summer's fiery passion, Summer begins to embrace a part of herself she's long-denied. But with pleasure often comes pain - and can a relationship that burns this bright keep from burning out?©2012 Vina Jackson (P)2012 Orion Publishing Group Ltd

I made it to the end of the story-just! Fairly pathetic in general. '50 Shades Grey' is badly written and so is this. After two titles in this genre, I'm not going to waste any more credits. The main female character is made out to be a sap, which I didn't appreciate.

Pretty tragic...

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Some sad being, interested only in titillation, who cares nothing for a coherent storyline. It has no entertainment value whatsoever.

Would you ever listen to anything by Vina Jackson again?

No way, not ever!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator did a valiant job in the delivery of such a dismal work and comported herself as a true professional. I suspect that she went home and washed her mouth out at the end of the job.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment

Any additional comments?

It was grossly misleading for the 'Blurb' on the cover illustration pictured to compare this little effort with Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James. It is not anywhere near it in quality .

A grubby tale with no literary merit.
