About this listen

The son of Warcraft and Hate, Cratus spent eternity battling for the ancient gods who birthed him. He was death to any who crossed him. Until the day he laid down his arms and walked into self-imposed exile. Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. The only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.

As a Dream-Hunter, Delphine has spent eternity protecting mankind from the predators who prey on our unconscious state. But now that her allies have been turned, she knows in order to survive, the Dream-Hunters need a new leader. Someone who can train them to fight their new enemies. Cratus is her only hope. But she is a bitter reminder of why he chose to lay down his arms. Time is running out and if she can't win him to her cause, mankind will be slaughtered and the world we know will soon cease to exist.

Great story, bad reading!

The story is classic Kenyon but I almost didn't make it through the reading. The pronunciations of names didn't match the earlier books and the accents were awful for a professional.

Love book not the narrator

Narrator sounds like a drag queen. I have listened to many sherrilyn Kenyon narrators and really enjoyed the book but it just lacked something

great story, ok narrator

William Dufris is clearly a good voice actor but this was not his book. The story is great and up to par with Kenyon's other works.

Bad narrators

This guy is a terrible narrator. His voice is more suited for a business meeting. Bring back Fred Behrman or really anyone but this dude.

desperately needs a new narrator

I cannot get past how terrible this narrator is. most of the time he sounded like a drunk Kronk, or a parody of Batman...

I just love Sherrilyn Kenyon's work.

I listened to this series some time ago, I realized there were a few books that I haven't reviewed. So here we go. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon. The Dream Hunter series isn't exactly a spin off form the Dark Hunter series more of an integration of a new pantheon of sorts. This is a series that I could defiantly listen to more than once and like any series there are some books better than others. Narrator was okay but they needed Fred Berman or Holton Graham.

Please FIRE William Dufris

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would always recommend a book written by Sherrilyn Kenyon, no matter the genre or series, but I would never recommend a book read by Dufris. He has no emotion or enjoyment in his narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cratus has the soul of a idealistic warrior. A man any woman would want and any man would respect.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of William Dufris?

Fred Berman, Phil Gigante, Birana Bronte, anyone else.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was too hard to listen to the narrator to really enjoy the book
